Government to pay LGBTQ $100 million

"The Trudeau government has earmarked more than $100 million to compensate members of the military and other federal agencies whose careers were sidelined or ended due to their sexual orientation, The Canadian Press has learned."

Now, on the surface it seems asinine. But if the money is being used to settle a variety of lawsuits which would have had the same result plus plenty of time and money being wasted in the courts, it may actually make financial sense.

The bigger problem is the constant barrage of lawsuits and handouts to aggrieved groups 20+ years later. The fact of the matter is that our values change from generation to generation. Will the government be sued for not allowing gay marriages? Will they be sued for allowing discrimination against trans people in housing and employment? Will they be sued for not allowing people to use their preferred pronouns on all correspondence? Fifty years from now, will bigamists and incestuous couples be suing the government because they weren't allowed to be married/because they were imprisoned?

We need to put a statute of limitations on the egregious lawsuits that all taxpayers are on the hook for, as values change over the years, and we look back twenty years ago, and realize some of the things we did were wrong.

That’s easy to say when it wasn’t you who was fired or spied on or arrested for absolutely no good reason.

The lawsuits and payouts will stop once we, as a country, stop violating basic rights of citizens.   Consider yourself lucky it wasn’t you.

Roy Moore would agree with you there.

Wowzer...   I take it you mean to 'treat these perverts'

We already have examples of treatment from history:

  1. Identification - pink triangle
  2. Segregation - internment camps
  3. Electroshock aversion therapy
  4. Castration

And so would Clinton, Epstein, Weinstien, Spacey, Franken and so many left wing liberal/democratic perverts nut out there.

We live in a country that is ready to apologize or payoff anyone who whines and cries about how they have been treated. These LGBTQ can have their apology and that should be done with it. Not blow another 100 million tax dollars on more cry babies.

Another 35 million tax dollars are now going to be given to three Canadian Islamic terrorists for supposedly being unjustly imprisoned in Syria.  Another Islamic terrorist is suing Canada for 50 million for his imprisonment at Guantanamo. The list appears to be going to get a lot bigger as time goes on. Source: The Rebel.

Canada and most Canadians are becoming stupider by the day. The things that were done to others will now be paid for by the taxpayer's of today who had nothing to do with what happened in the past. I wonder who else will start whining about some kind of discrimination was done to them? I am sure the list could go on and on and on, and the stunned taxpayer will just continue to pay-pay-pay.

So go to work tomorrow and try and make a living while others will take advantage of your tax dollars that were pretty much stolen from your pay cheque without permission by the government, and are now being given to others who do not deserve it. 180 million tax dollars down the drain that could have been better spent somewhere else.

Shocking and so sad.

From what I can see, the Trudeau administration sees each and every one of these situations as an opportunity to buy the Liberal Party of Canada votes in the next federal election (and maybe some provincials) at the expense of our grandchildren who must service this staggering debt.  They have no concern whatsoever what they are doing to our country and our society.

Indeed that is the plan by Trudeau and the liberals is to fast track and get all these new third world immigrants and so-called refugees made Canadian citizen's as fast as they can to get them to vote for them in the next election.  Now they will get the homosexual vote.

But just how are they going to go about this? They just have made amendments to the immigration act that will allow the Syrian so-called refugees to be eligible to vote in the 2019 election. The fix is in, folks, and me and thee will pay big time for it, folks.   Source: Right Edition.

The Trudeau's and the liberal party have never had any concern for Canada except as to how can they destroy this once great WASP nation. Yes, our grandchildren are the ones who are going to pay for what the liberals are being allowed to get away with, and you can thank those who voted that feminist pro-Islamic liberal into power. I can say this with all honesty that if the fools put that trudeau back in power in the next election well then we might as well hand over our freedoms and put us all in chains to that fool and consider yourself a slave for good. The old Canada that we once knew and were brought up in will be gone. Guaranteed.

And if the Conservatives should take power I personally do not see much change ever happening with them also. They will probably be just as politically correct as the rest of them but they will do it more at a slower pace. Harper had a chance to change things and he blew it big time. Harper was no Trump, and that is what Canada needs now is a Trump for Prime Minister.

Maybe as an Anglophones from Quebec I should ask for an apology from our dear fearless feminist leader PM and compensation for all the wrongs that have been done to myself and other Anglophones from Quebec for denying our English rights in Quebec. The rights of francophones are protected by law outside of Quebec. Maybe I should sue for, say, one million dollars. I will go easy on the taxpayer's of this country. They shouldn't miss a million dollars, eh? :D

$100 million "earmarked" for compensation to LBGTQ2 people. Why only $100 million? How did a federal bureaucrat arrive at that round number? Why not $200 million, or $2 billion?

Maybe we owe LBGTQ2 people $300 billion. Maybe Trudeau should "earmark" $300 billion for these people.

In the case of Khadr, why $10 million? Why not $100 million?

Who invents these numbers? Trudeau Jnr is writing cheques - but using the credit cards of other people.

My fear: Justin Trudeau is bi-polar, like his mom.

This is the stupidest comments I have seen. You are a good example of the people who should be screened out of our immigration system expressing a clear bigotry against people who have done nothing to you.

Not sure why you brought in Muslims in this. Yes they are many muslims who are wrongfully against people who are born differently or chosen a different way of life (whichever may be the case) or may have different beliefs but this way of thinking is NOT limited to Muslims as many Christians, Jews and extreme right wingers and Cons believe in the same crap.

They are normal as anyone else. They may be born differently or chosen a different way to live THEIR lives but they are normal. The only not normal person is you and your kind because of the handicapped way of thinking.
