Actually, Obama increased the number of troops in Afghanistan.

Obama also had bigger budget deficits than Bush.

Thanks for playing !

Good attempt but still NO!!!

When you analyze data such as GDP or deficit, pleeease, use annual numbers. How was this number (-8.3%) calculated? What years were included? What is the explanation of such number? (financial crisis left by Bush)

Don't try to fool people who have financial education, please.

I assume that the numbers were calculated by doing some sort of average over every year of the president's term. Its a dumb statistic to look at, since it ignores the fact that a president can inherit a strong economy and drive it into the ground (giving better looking numbers), leaving the economy in shambles for his successor to pick up. Given the fact that the referenced article didn't give details about how the numbers were calculated suggests the source of that statistic knows that its deceptive.

It also ignores the fact that a president's ability to handle deficit is strongly impacted by congress. Obama has had to deal with a very combative congress, who while in theory want to limit spending, also are enamored with limiting tax cuts (especially on the wealthy).

But lets say its somehow a relevant statistic. Did you notice something? Every time you have a republican president following a Democrat, the " BUDGET DEFICIT AS A PERCENTAGE OF GDP" increases. Seems rather silly for someone so vocal about supporting a racist Orangutan running under the republican banner would post some information that makes republicans look bad.

Not only did President Obama run budget deficits and debt to record levels, previously he was a member of the U.S. Congress as a Senator from Illinois, and voted for deficit budgets and resolutions during the last term of the Bush Administration.    President Obama even voted to extend Bush era tax cuts.

The problem with Argus is that he's torn between supporting Trump's policies while not supporting Trump.

It's what happens when right wing heads explode and implode at the same.

The problem with you is you need to stereotype people because your brain can't fathom that people who don't agree with you and have conservative or any other  beliefs can also disagree with not just you but Trump and anyone else on the planet no we don't all have to think the same. Kaboom.

The problem with you is you need to stereotype people in rigid inflexible stereotypes because your brain clearly can only function with  simple black and white terms to operate from within or it explodes and implodes at the same time.

I agree with you both. The stats are very misleading. They don't take into consideration inter-related world market conditions outside the US that may have impacted on them let alone like you said inherited policies whose impact would only show up years later. That said though, I think with accurate measurements Obama would still com out way ahead..I would just like to see more math. I have read more accurate comparisons where any way you slice it Obama is the no.1 at running up deficits than George W. Bush because of the Iraq war.
