Chretien was rich for a long time...he managed the economy well...he made a good living in politics ...do you remember what his salaries were....lol...Don't Insult Mr Chretien by calling him a conservative....and Argus...did you not add up the chart you linked us to...if you cant...go ask someone to total that up for you.....and your forgetting about the 16 billion cHRETIEN LEFT SITTING ON THE TABLE FOR HIM WHEN PIERRE POUTINE TOOK OFFICE....AND THE 2 OR 3 BILLION HE MYSTERIOUSLY LOST...YOU HAVE TO BE PRETTY STUPID TO LOSE 2 or 3 billion dollars....oh ya...then soldĀ  all of our bullion he dumped so he could try and balance his last budget...and the 2 years it will takeĀ  Justin Trudeau to Stop the bleeding from Pierre Poutine's polocies... you know....you cant just take over a government and just change or stopĀ  the polocies theĀ  Idiot left behind

The idiots that have and are still running this country were/are called politicians. All politicians cook the books and will make it appear as though they left the next government with plenty of money in the bank. Every political party that comes to power will charge forward with massive spending. Politicians have no clue as to how to be frugal with taxpayer's tax dollars. They only know how to blow tax dollars. They appear to also have nothing but contempt for the taxpayer's of Canada. WeĀ need to lay off all politicians and start all over again if that couldĀ possibly be done. Something needs to be done with and about these spend crazy political buffoons.

Top of your list, not mine. Canada was at it's best until old man Trudeau took over this country. How dare you call him the greatest Canadian? There were plenty of great Canadians long before Trudeau ever came along. Our Canadian founders hadĀ some of the greatest patriotic people that helped to make Canada great. Trudeau came along and gave us debt and worked very hard to try andĀ destroy everything British and made Canada not so great anymore. That wasĀ someĀ of the many things that destructive Trudeau became known for. He was a real ball wrecker for Canada.Ā

your right....the conservatives are quite the buffoons Ā  every cent is conservative debt and thanks to them...we pay 29.5 billion to service that debt every year...just thing of how much infrastructure could be fixed every year with that kind of money

Dam right I am right. You talk like it was only the conservatives that have been putting Canada into debt? You need to get your head out of the sand and wakeĀ up. All political party's that have been in power have put Canada in debt. So quit with the conservatives being a bunch of buffoons because your precious french controlled liberal party are today's buffoons who are still adding to that debt. But no doubt you appearing to be a liberal lover, there is no way anyone can get thru any liberals head that they are wrong. They seem to think that they are a bunch of liberal darlings who only know what's best for Canada. I say bull chit to that.Ā :P

@ tax me....I am not a Liberal party super fan...but they have the best we have...I believe that political parties should be abolished....and not have to vote in a dictator...it should be all independents...real politics...where when you vote someone in office..they are their to represent your riding..when independents for for what is good for their people and riding..not a party who has to listen and vote for what ever he wants....or what the special interests want. If you cant figure out where all of our debt came from...then you are not a very smart Canadian...all the information is at your finger tips..just google it........https://ipolitics.ca/2015/04/19/no-matter-how-you-add-it-up-harpers-fiscal-record-is-a-catastrophe/

Just read on the Rightedition website that Trudeau is going to add to the debt and put the taxpayer's of Canada into the hole for another 34 billion. The banksters are rubbing their hands with glee. What a useless lying ahole this prime mistake is.Ā

I already told you as to where just about all of our debt has come from. Useless liberal/socialist programs and agendas for decades now that has not done anything all that much for Canada or Canadians.Ā

I have thought about that before and I think that would be great if we had all independent politiciansĀ rather than political party politicians. Although it takes plenty of money to run a campaign and many independents can still end up being bankrolled byĀ the same gang that pretty much bankrolls our present day politicians. But I am all for it if it could be done.Ā

Can you read this. Trudeau just added another 34 billion and no doubt still counting dollars to the debt. The debt goes down but then goes right back up again. The taxpayer's never get a break from these spend crazy politicians. It's like they work for the banksters to keep us all in debt and the banksters make billions in profits from it. Charts can lie. I never believe anything politicians tell me. Only fools do that.Ā

I'm not sure you understand the difference between debt and deficit. Maybe have a read through this interactive chart to see who has added to the debt.

I have no idea what the hell any of that is even referring to. You seem to pay no attention to how real world events like the financial crisis impacts government financing or Canadian exports. Your complaints are so much blather.

Chretien was rich for a long time...

He had no money when he went into government. He made money when he temporarily left government and went to work for a very high-powered law firm. Now, given he had only had a few years of experience as a practicing lawyer in Quebec I don't think he was hired for his legal skills. He was instead hired and paid big money in order to 'recruit' him so that he'd be amenable to suggestions for when he ran for leader, which everyone knew he was going to do.

I bet you can't even point to anything he did to 'manage' the economy.

and Argus...did you not add up the chart you linked us to.

Yes, unlike yourself I can count past ten without taking my socks off.

22 hours ago, SirEric said:

if you cant...go ask someone to total that up for you.....and your forgetting about the 16 billion cHRETIEN LEFT SITTING ON THE TABLE FOR HIM WHEN PIERRE POUTINE TOOK OFFICE..

You realize that wasn't Chretien's money, right? It belonged to taxpayers, and was returned to taxpayers. Ask a taxpayer if you know any and I'm sure they'll tell you.

You have to be pretty stupid to think they lost two or three billion dollars.

Sure. Because he brought in all kinds of expensive programs to help people but didn't charge them for them. Instead he dumped it all on our national credit card, and effectively created our national debt.

Yup...what a f------- loser.Ā

All this BS for Sikh votes.

That's exactly what it is. First we had a week of him playing Mr. Dressup and looking like a freak in all those weird outfits, and then when they get caught with their buddy the terrorist they decide the best excuse is to blame the Indian government for letting him into the country! Almost unbelievable! Now the Indians join the Chinese, Japanese, Australians, andĀ  Filipinos in being pissed off at us.Ā
