Justin Trudeau the Worst PM Since Pierre Trudeau?

Obama inherited nothing different than what Harding inherited in 1920-21 and what Reagan inherited in 1981-1982.

That's simply nonsense. Obama inherited a country which had barely survived a financial crisis which was just starting to bite, and survived it through adding trillions in financial support and incentives for business. The deep recession which followed was entirely self-made, caused by the previous Republican administration's criminal negligence and corruption.

Reagan cut taxes and regulation massively and the economy boomed.

Hmm, when Reagan took over the US was in the middle of  a recession with sky high inflation. The federal reserve had jacked up interest rates to 19%. Those interest rates began to plunge as inflation receded, and that probably had as much to do with spurring the economy - as the US came out of recession, as Regan's tax cuts. BTW, virtually all economists agree that Reagan's 'trickle down' theory failed. The refunds stayed with the wealthy and did NOT trickle down to the rest. Also, btw, the deficit was 1.5% of GDP in 1979. It would never get that low again until Bill Clinton's time and never return that low after Clinton's time.

A story which highlights the hypocrisy of Trudeau's sanctimonious environmental positions, and the cost to Canada.

The bottom line is that Ottawa’s approach is completely backwards. Trudeau can’t seem to cut cheques fast enough for companies like Bombardier that routinely ask for money to build vehicles that burn oil and gas products. But at the same time, his government puts roadblocks in front of TransCanada and other companies developing resources, who don’t ask for taxpayer money but have paid billions in taxes.

Last year, there were a reported 35 resource development projects in Canada with a combined value of $129 billion that had either been stalled or cancelled. The more Ottawa and other governments obstruct and delay these projects, the more they will miss out on billions in tax revenues from these projects and the people they employ.

He's still got a long way to go to catch up to Trump.

How are you at understanding English?

All of those descriptions mentioned above do relate to our dear comrade Mr. O who is as far as I am concerned here only to try and create division, not to debate. He still believes in the Trump/Russian collusion even though there has been no proof to have come forward yet that Trump colluded with the Russians. I think that he just likes the Mule.

He does have a tough time trying to understand anything said to him in English. Maybe try Yiddish or Arabic. Just saying.

Our dear leader Trudeau comes nowhere near Trump when it comes to corruption. Trudeau just got nailed from the ethics commissioner over his little trip at taxpayer's expense to go visit one of his billionaire friends. Trudeau has the arrogance as most billionaires have. Screw you little useless taxpayer you. Let us millionaires and billionaires run and rule Canada the and you just sit back and be happy with what we give you and allow you to do. It's not your tax dollars, it is ours to do with as we see fit. Yup, we sure do have one dictator for a leader indeed.

"Feminist" Justin Trudeau apologizes...blames Sophie.

I wonder who will be next? I think that the Anglophones in Quebec should get an apology from our dear leader feminist PM for the wrong doing that the french have done to the English speaking people in that unilingual french speaking only province where some of their equality rights have been in violation of the Charter of Rights.

Anyway, there has to be someone or some group still out there that has been offended or insulted or has had some harm done to them and has had their feelings hurt in the past, and are in the desire for an apology, and maybe even get some tax dollars out of it from what some Caucasian, Christian, straight, conservative may have said or done in the past that they deserve some kind of compensation for. Hey, you never know, eh? This is Canada, don't you know, the land of apology.

Trump just passed a tax bill which will give him a whopping big tax cut, will cut the estate tax for his kids, and will give his company a huge tax break through a strange little last-minute adddition nobody seems to want to take credit for or explain where it came from which allows real estate companies to benefit from a special tax rule. That's way worse than Trudeau has ever done.

By your own admission(s)..."rich people" pay the most taxes, so they get the most benefit from "tax cuts".

I wasn't. I was responding directly to our ever faithful Trump lover.

Rich people do pay the most taxes, but if you ran on a ticket of helping the middle class you don't grant most of the tax breaks to the wealthy - unless you were lying, of course, about your care and concern for the middle class.

Has nothing to do with Justin Trudeau...Canada's crooked prime minister.

It is a tough choice come the next election. Trudeau is politically myopic. The Socialist Credit under Sheer is a party without a real leader and a collection of scientific illiterates.  Finally there is the NDP and their vanishing leader.(No more needs to be said in that area.)

As a Conservative, I have no one to vote for.

On the bright side, it's Christmas (or the winter festival of your choice). Don't stress. Nothing we say or do on these forums makes any difference.

Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.

So the first prime minister in history to be found guilty of violating ethics laws offers up a limp wristed mea culpa, but really says it was no big deal because the Aga Khan was a close friend - who he hadn't seen in 30 years, other than a brief hello at his father's funeral. Thirty years ago when this close friendship was established Trudeau was 15 and the Aga Khan was 51. Just what kind of 'close' friendship did they have that didn't require meeting or talking for 30 years - until Trudeau became Liberal party leader and could be seen as useful to the Aga Khan for getting government funding? And how does a 15 year old establish a close friendship with a 51 year old anyway?

Trudeau knew he was lobbying the government, and not only did he accept this vacation anyway he tried to hide it at the time. Nor did he then distance himself or recuse himself from discussions about the Aga Khan's application for millions of dollars of government funding, which, of course, was granted.  When he was taken off his carefully scripted response by a 'how could you not know this' question he looked like a deer caught in the headlights. He stared and fumbled his answer and had to stop to think about what to say. I guess keeping your lies straight gets difficult.

Meanwhile here are some questions for Trudeau posed by Andrew Coyne. Good look getting him to answer any of them.

AT&T  just announced plans to invest 1 billion dollars in the US in 2018 and to give a special bonus of $1000.00 or more to 200,000 employees once Trump signs the bill. Just thought you would like to hear about that?

PS: So tell me? Just what has Trudeau done so far that has been great for Canada and Canadians? C'mon, spit it out?

Notwithstanding what I regard as being Trudeau's real deficiencies, something else from your article caught my eye;

Quote

A teenager sitting in his basement watching jihadist propaganda and nodding approval is engaging in a “hateful ideology”.

An adult sitting in his basement worrying about this probably avoids escalators and elevators and lives in a rubber basement due to the threat of lightning bolts.

The poor Japanese are angry and confused. They have no idea what Trudeau wants and why he sabotaged the TPP deal. Poor Japanese. All they need to do is look at the lineups of Chinese-'Canadian' businessmen eagerly handing cash to Trudeau. He is simply doing what they tell him to do - what China told them to tell him to do.

Until the APEC incident, negotiators perceived that things were going smoothly, said Mitsuru Myochin, a counsellor with the Japanese government’s TPP team. “We still do not know why Canada changed their attitude,” he said

For sure! Similarly to his father, Trudeau Jr. is the height of hypocrisy. He makes these blunt attempts to seem politically neutral in a way where he tries to appeals to all Canadians, it isn't working.

There is no doubt that the Trudeau family and Gerald Butts have talent when it comes to misleading Canadians and making them believe that he is working hard.

I think that Trudeau Jr. will eventually need to realize that Canadians can see what happens within the House of Commons chambers, not just what happens during his public addresses and social media (especially those tweets about diversity).

BC. if u think Justin is the worse PM... how do u rate your presidents because Trudeau is  boy scout against the corruption  with past presidents, especially the Clinton's and Bush, The Clinton's only care  about one thing...themselves and now I hear the CIA have been looking onto the killing of Barry Sherman and his wife to the Clinton Foundation and the inferior-quality medicine and pocketing the difference in price for the people in Haiti. Sherman was going to testify against the Clinton's. SO.... how many have the Clinton's  put 6 feet under must be around 40 and growing. The clinton's should get the best scammer award.

OK, but U.S. presidents are compared to other presidents, not Canadian prime ministers.   I realize that comparisons across the border are routine for some Canadians, but it doesn't apply for this thread topic.   Justin Trudeau's deceptive brain locked up when questioned by Rosemary Barton (CBC):
