I liken it to something we did all the time in military operations and war college...purposeful disinformation, misdirection, obfuscation, half-truths, and bold face lies. I'm not sure it matters....Trump is what he is, and despite the lying, ironically appeared far more genuine to voters than Hillary Clinton. Internal polls were showing she blew the vote with them so she skipped Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan knowing these states could not be won without their votes. She skipped key cities in Florida she needed. She had a terrible out of touch strategy. Trump was a bad candidate, but Hilary was plain terrible, she rigged the election against Bernie, she could barely win, she was protected by the dnc. It just goes to show, protecting a candidate from attacks in the primaries is a bad idea. DNC told Bernie to go easy on Clinton's on the emails, and it was a big factor in her losing.
