Was the US election hacked?

Recommended Posts

i stand corrected on McCabe. i'd forgotten about activities that he disputes and has never been charged with but was fired for all the same and possibly more.

man, i get what you're saying... but previous presidents have been hung out to dry for far less than being associated with felons and not calling them out. way worse. Trump is off the charts. that will hang over him. no one needs to watch tv or read the paper to think that. thats life.

and people were sent to jail. period. you bring up "white collar crime" Manafort. still a felon. Roger lied and attempted to coerce witnesses. felon. Flynn admitted guilt. nobody admits guilt who is not guilty. felon. Cohen, Papadopoulos, Pinedo, van der Zwaan, Gates... tried by a jury of their piers in a country of laws. felons.

you seem to lean on the liberal concept of just punishment. trump wasn't impeached given the muller investigation. so nothing to worry about except some bad perception, right? not worth so much whining.

but i'd also point out that this is the "was the election hacked?" thread and not the "whining about the muller investigation" thread.

all of those election court cases only required ONE person with verifiable evidence to stand in front of a judge and say it. ONE.

didn't happen. ONE.

Manafort worked with other presidents, and was found guilty of things he did in the '90s.

Trump is slightly better than B or H Clinton were as a people, and he was a much better president than Obama.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you are in a very slim minority by claiming Trump was a better President than Obama.  For one thing, Obama was sworn in during the worst recession since the 1930s.  He also weathered the 2012 fiscal crisis. In spite of those two obstacles, and no cooperation from GOP House Leader Mitch McConnell, Obama still managed to grow the economy, create jobs, and bring the unemployment rate to record lows, when he left office.

Trump, on the other hand, inherited a very strong economy, with a record low unemployment rate.  IN spite of dividing the American people, the unemployment rate continued it's downward trajectory started in 2013 by the Obama Administration.  Until COVID hit, and Trump completely mismanaged the COVID pandemic. If the Trump Administration had stuck with the pandemic plan written by the Obama Administration, they could have emerged with minimal economic damage.

Unfortunately for Trump, he discarded the pandemic manual in 2018, and badly mishandled the COVID outbreak, and the civil unrest in the summer. Then Trump did all he could to torpedo and undermine US institutions that would the election proceed smoothly (i.e. the USPS). In his last month, Trump made no effort to cooperate with Biden & Company, tried to stage a coup, then simply walked away, and made no effort to attend the inauguration.

Trump is already considered the worst American president in history.

The 2014-2017 riots were all on Obama.

When he didn't have a clue what transpired between Zimmerman and T Martin he went with "Trayvon was just a great kid, off to the store to buy some Skittles. He was shot just because he was black and Zimmerman was a white-supremacist Mexican. That could have been me, or my son" shtick.

That was patently untrue. At some point Trayvon did something to end up getting shot, and that something was completely unnecessary. Obama took the position that "black people should argue and fight with cops in complete safety".

He supported the "gentle giant" narrative, which was 100% false, and everyone knew that because the video of his violent robbery, from moments before he was shot, was being broadcast on a major cable news network.

Obama didn't say: "Respect the police and none of this has to happen. Have your day in court, and our justice system will take care of you. I promise." His message to the black community was: "If you don't like what the police say to you, yell at them & assault them, it's your right."

The first thing that Michelle "the bitch" Obama did in 2020 when there was rioting, looting, arson, racial violence, attacks on innocent civilians, wide-scale assaults on police officers, the murders of innocent civilians, and the assassinations of police officers, was: "Stay angry. Focus your anger. Never let anyone tell you to stop being angry."

Obama was an excellent president up until 2014. He ended up being the worst president in US history.

well you're welcome to your opinion. but Obama wasn't a tyrant attempting to subvert democracy and install the Trump family as a ruling autocracy. i've well publicized on this forum that i think Trump is an idiot and not that smart but i never really cared much either way.

but once he started subverting the senate by using temporary administration officials and refusing to allow those officials to supply information to a duly elected congress, then he needs to go. the government is the peoples business, its not owned by politicians. its like if i hired a manager for one of my businesses and he started hiring his own cronies, telling me everything was going great, but never letting me see the books. out. nothing else matters.

"Democracy was subverted". Sounds like a good title for nerd porn, but again, that's not real history.

no, he just watched from a television screen while his "patriots" stormed the capitol. nothing to see here!

he tried to pressure state AG's to fix it. then state governors. then the senate. then the vice president. nothing to see here! didn't happen! hahaha!

real history. on video and audio tape.

In a country of 340M people, where 75M people voted for Trump, only 200 people "entered" those buildings. And FYI they didn't "storm" that building at all.

Also, he didn't just watch it on TV, he did make a speech for the lunacy to end, and he didn't pull any punches in that speech either (like Obama did when his speech about the dead cops in Dallas included partial justification: "Centuries of racism, slavery and Jim Crowe laws"). Two speeches actually, all for a riot that lasted just a couple hours.

This riot is no different from the one in Seattle which was universally supported by Demonrats. If you recall, sovereign US soil was overtaken by force, and people's homes and businesses were subjected to the rule of a hostile autocrat.

you say that it wasn't "storming" and yet you admit that it was a "riot". could be just more problems with shared definitions.

i'd say the videos of police officers valiantly pushing back in doorways for 30 minutes is a storming. and why do you keep bringing up BLM protests? Trump was in charge of the country at the time. he didn't deal with it. he could have been out there calming people and agreeing to discussions. not his forte obviously.

your simple account of Trumps participation is without merit:

2021 storming of the United States Capitol

"Trump, who had spent previous weeks promoting the "Save America" rally,[253] was "initially pleased" when his supporters breached the Capitol and refused to intercede,[254] but also "expressed disgust on aesthetic grounds" over the "low class" appearance of the supporters involved in the rioting.[255] Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) said that senior White House officials told him that Trump was "delighted" to hear that rioters were entering the Capitol.[256] Staffers reported that Trump had been "impossible to talk to throughout the day", and that his inability to deal with his election loss had, according to one staffer, made Trump "out of his mind."[257] Concerned that Trump may have committed treason through his actions, White House Counsel Pat Cipollone reportedly advised administration officials to avoid contact with Trump and ignore any illegal orders that could further incite the storming to limit their prosecutorial liability under the Sedition Act of 1918.[258]

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. EST, as the riot was going on and after senators had been evacuated from the Senate floor, Trump phoned Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), asking them to make more objections to the counting of the electoral votes to try to overturn the election.[259] At 2:47 p.m., as his supporters violently clashed with police at the Capitol, Trump tweeted, "Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!"[260] The Washington Post later reported that Trump did not want to include the words "stay peaceful".[261]

Trump was in the West Wing of the White House at the time. A close adviser to Trump said the president was not taking many phone calls. When Trump watches television, the adviser explained, he will pause a recorded program to take a phone call, but "if it's live TV, he watches it, and he was just watching it all unfold."[262]

By 3:10 p.m., pressure was building on Trump to condemn supporters engaged in the riots; Trump's former communications director, Alyssa Farah, called upon him to "Condemn this now" and wrote "you are the only one they will listen to."[260] By 3:25 p.m., Trump tweeted "I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue," but did not call upon the crowd to disperse.[260] By 3:40 p.m., a number of congressional Republicans called upon Trump to more specifically condemn violence and to call on his supporters to end the occupation of the Capitol: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R–CA) said that he had spoken to Trump to ask him to "calm individuals down"; Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued a tweet telling Trump that "it is crucial you help restore order by sending resources to assist the police and ask those doing this to stand down"; and Representative Mike Gallagher (R–WI), in a video message, told Trump to "call it off".[260] In contrast to Trump, who only called upon his supporters to "remain peaceful", Pence called for the occupation of the Capitol to end immediately.[260]

Lindsey Graham later told the Washington Post that "it took [Trump] awhile to appreciate the gravity of the situation ... [he] saw these people as allies in his journey and sympathetic to the idea that the election was stolen".[261]

By 3:50 p.m., White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said that the National Guard and "other federal protective services" had been deployed.[260] At 4:06 p.m. on national television, President-elect Biden called for President Trump to end the riot. At 4:22 p.m., Trump issued a video message on social media that was later taken down by Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. In it, he praised his supporters and repeated his claims of electoral fraud, saying: "This was a fraudulent election, but we can't play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You're very special. You've seen what happens. You see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know how you feel. But go home and go home in peace."[61][260]

At 6:25 p.m., Trump tweeted: "These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long" and then issued a call: "Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!"[260][62][263] At 7:00 p.m., Rudy Giuliani placed a second call to Lee's number and left a voicemail intended for Tuberville urging him to make more objections to the electoral votes as part of a bid "to try to just slow it down". Giuliani said: "I know they're reconvening at 8 tonight, but it ... the only strategy we can follow is to object to numerous states and raise issues so that we get ourselves into tomorrow – ideally until the end of tomorrow."[259]"

False....Trump sent in federal resources to protect federal properties and Democrat controlled cities, counties, and states wanted them out.    Minneapolis burned for three days and the Democrats demanded defunding of the police department.   Trump put pressure on the governors for national guard mobilizations.

lets face it, he denies racial inequality. so he was incapable of speaking or acting in terms that would have chilled the situation.

"Chilling the situation" ?   Are you joking ?

You assertion is false...Trump acted to protect federal property and expected state, county, and city officials to do their jobs.    Instead, they watched cities burn and pushed their own agenda.

A riot is an out of control protest, and it was that.

Quote
Storm:
verb

  1. 1.
move angrily or forcefully in a specified direction.
"she burst into tears and stormed off"

    Similar:
    stride angrily
    •
  2. 2.
(of troops) suddenly attack and capture (a building or other place) by means of force.
"commandos stormed a hijacked plane early today"

Storm is to move off angrily, or to attack with actual armed troops.

There were no troops there. Just angry buttheads.

For your edification, here's the proper usage of the word 'stormed' in a sentence:

"Heavily armed BLM terrorists stormed a police precinct and then set up a fortified defensive perimeter around a 7-block radius, claiming sovereignty over what was formerly US soil. The Democrats fully supported their treasonous actions."

Quote

i'd say the videos of police officers valiantly pushing back in doorways for 30 minutes is a storming.

Yeah, but it's not, by definition, so there's that.

Wiki is not an official historical account by the final authority on the planet. You can upload info to wiki, or be a fact-checker there if you want.

Quote

and why do you keep bringing up BLM protests?

Because when a person in Nancy Pelosi's position uses words like sedition, treason, etc that can usually be considered to carry a lot of weight. Ditto for Kamala Harris, a former first lady like Skank Obama, Congressmen, etc.

It's important to make note of the fact that the people who are making these accusation have absolutely no credibility whatsoever re: the topic of sedition or treason.

All of those people committed sedition and treason themselves. Verbally supporting the violent overtaking of sovereign US soil in Chaz was sedition, failure to act was treason. The Dems committed those crimes like they were throwing out candies from a parade float.

Quote

Trump was in charge of the country at the time. he didn't deal with it.

I dunno if you're lying or if you're really this ignorant after all this time, but Trump lacks the authority to send the National Guard into any of the states. Mayors and Governors have to request it.

When rioting, looting, arson, racial violence, assaults against police, and the murders of police and innocent civilians alike was occurring, it was up to mayors and governors to stop it.

Quote

he could have been out there calming people and agreeing to discussions. not his forte obviously.

This is blatant stupidity GZ.

Just like Trump was the only person who could tell the people at the capitol to call it off, the Obamas were the only ones who could call off the BLM violence. They never did that.

"Senior WH officials told Sasse", etc.

I'm concerned that Biden may be shitting his pants on a regular basis. Does that make me a witness to the 'fact'?

Or is that just a clever way of trying to make something sound like it's more than it really is.

Where's the beef gz?

1) So here we have a timeline of bad things starting to happen, and Trump at the same time tweeting for people to stop doing those bad things.

That's awesome gz, thanks for pointing that out.

2) WashPo is famous for their lies and slander. They were successfully sued by a high school kid for that. They said that "Trump did not want to" and I have absolutely no reason to believe that Trump didn't intend to type those words.

In any event, he did type them. Obama did not type words to that effect even when people were being killed and police officers were being assassinated.

Meaningless. Tripe.

A second tweet, 38 minutes later.

Thanks for the info gz.

You need to brush up on your disinformation or you will be kicked out of the leftist mob.

Quote

By 3:40 p.m., a number of congressional Republicans called upon Trump to more specifically condemn violence and to call on his supporters to end the occupation of the Capitol: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R–CA) said that he had spoken to Trump to ask him to "calm individuals down"; Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) issued a tweet telling Trump that "it is crucial you help restore order by sending resources to assist the police and ask those doing this to stand down"; and Representative Mike Gallagher (R–WI), in a video message, told Trump to "call it off".[260] In contrast to Trump, who only called upon his supporters to "remain peaceful", Pence called for the occupation of the Capitol to end immediately.[260]

So by 3:40 the VP also called for the rioting to stop immediately. Other prominent members of the GOP were also calling for calm.

Good to know.

Just an hour and 13 minutes in there have already been two tweets from the POTUS and 1 from the VP.

Quote

Lindsey Graham later told the Washington Post that "it took [Trump] awhile to appreciate the gravity of the situation ... [he] saw these people as allies in his journey and sympathetic to the idea that the election was stolen".[261]

This little tidbit is just thrown in here, but there's no time stamp on this blurb.

Did this happen at 1100 am? Noon? You didn't say.

At the point in the timeline where you threw this in, Trump has already tweeted twice and Pence once.

Gee golly gosh gz.

So now, between 2:47 and 4:22 we're up to two tweets and a video from Trump, and a tweet and a video from Pence.

1hr 35 mins - 5 calls for peace.

How many calls for peace did the Obamas make in almost 3 years of rioting gz? They're quite a bit more famous for inciting riots than for asking for peace. Even during actual treason and the overtaking of sovereign US soil the Obamas supported every bit of it.

You're from the team that ardently supports murderous rioting. Now you're trying to act like Trump is the pro-riot politician when he denounced it almost instantly.

You understand why I consider your opinion on this topic quite worthless now, right?

1. The protests that occurred between 2014-17 rarely ever turned into full-scale riots.  In fact, your implication that there were continuous riots for three tears is absurd.  How many people were killed during these "riots."

2. Zimmerman is a mentally ill racist, who chased after an innocent black teenager, despite being told not to by a 9-1-1 operator, and not having the authority to do so.  Here's a lesson in human nature.  When a person feels scared and threatened by a stranger coming at them, it invokes the "fight or flight" response. Martin, after being cornered by Zimmerman, chose to fight.  He was killed for doing so.  If you are implying Zimmerman is some victim of circumstance, why not check his social media accounts for the past decade, and his numerous violent run-ins with the law since the 2012 incident.  The man is loony tunes.

3. Obama did nothing to encourage the riots, unlike Trump did with the Capital situation in 2021.

4. Is there any particular reason you are referring to Michelle Obama as a "bitch," or are you a misogynist as well as a racist?

A riot is an out of control protest, and it was that.

Yeah, but it's not, by definition, so there's that.

Wiki is not an official historical account by the final authority on the planet. You can upload info to wiki, or be a fact-checker there if you want.

This is blatant stupidity GZ.

Just like Trump was the only person who could tell the people at the capitol to call it off, the Obamas were the only ones who could call off the BLM violence. They never did that.

Your account, although sounding official, is without first-hand accounts. IE, witnesses.

So by 3:40 the VP also called for the rioting to stop immediately. Other prominent members of the GOP were also calling for calm.

Good to know.

Just an hour and 13 minutes in there have already been two tweets from the POTUS and 1 from the VP.

You understand why I consider your opinion on this topic quite worthless now, right?

ok, ok... not a storming. who gives a fuck what you call it. call it kids birthday party.

"So now, between 2:47 and 4:22 we're up to two tweets and a video from Trump, and a tweet and a video from Pence."

If Obama had been a President, with  Northern European ancestry, you would be singing his name from the pulpit.

Do you ever see me bragging about Bill Clinton? Or Dubya? Do you think the day will ever come when I have something positive to say about our own crime boss, one Mr. Trudeau?

Those guys are about as white as you could get, Dubya was even a Republican.

You're just an angry, butt-hurt Demmie with no intelligent counterpoints to make, so you're backed into an untenable little cage like a little poop-flinging monkey. Go ahead and make your baseless little allegations buddy. No one gives a rip.

While the Left is quick to label normal folk racist, I'll point out that is they that always bring it up.

You attack Obama exponentially more than all former US Presidents combined.  I wonder why that could be?

I'm not the one calling Michelle Obama a "bitch" for literally no reason. Unlike you, I'm not a misogynist.

PS...Trudeau is not an American, so he is irrelevant to the topic in question.

BUT....! BUT....! BUT....! They're really angry about slavery from 1865.....! You know, the slavery that every race on earth was guilty of taking part in from the beginning of recorded history? The slavery that white people abolished. The slavery that, oddly enough, only white people are guilty of now lol.

There are people who are still butthurt over battles from biblical times. It's a sickness. Some people just wanna stay angry.

The poster who went by eyeball here a while back said that he could identify with people who were victims of racism & genocide because he has the same last name as the people massacred at Glenncoe. IE, the thirty people massacred 328 years ago lol.
