Smallc Posted May 27, 2016 Report Posted May 27, 2016 Not nearly as bad as the Liberal motion #6 recently deceased. It would be much better to have no regulating assisted suicide. Then you could blame everything on the Liberals, even though Harper punted it. It looks like you get your wish. Quote

Motion No. 6 was not about assisted suicide, it was a blatant power grab, which they had to back down from. It seems there is some growing unease within the party about the leadership and efforts to stifle dissent. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/this-isnt-what-liberals-are-about-some-party-members-bristling-over-perceived-efforts-to-quash-dissent Edited May 27, 2016 by scribblet Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province
waldo Posted May 27, 2016 Report Posted May 27, 2016 It seems there is some growing unease within the party about the leadership and efforts to stifle dissent. huh! I believe this is might be off-topic from this thread. But really, well done Postmedia! Oh wait, the caveat about "It’s difficult to gauge how widespread the actual dissent is" was added. But uhhh, if you want to speak to convention dissent, with both the Liberal and Conservative conventions playing out now at the same time, apparently... reports suggest "some" at the Vancouver Conservative convention were less than receptive to Harper's "toast to his legacy" and his apparent shepherding of the next leader, particularly as Liberals are dismantling much/most of that Harper legacy and many hold Harper personally responsible for their election campaign debacle. Wait, waldo caveat ala Postmedia for that Conservative dissent: "It’s difficult to gauge how widespread the actual dissent is" . Quote
