So is the Social Credit Party in Canada. I don't hear you lambasting them.

I don't know much about the Social Credit Party. As far as I know that party disappeared from Canadian politics several decades ago. So, how can I lambast them, unh? So, maybe you can enlighten me a little about the S.C.P. If I can recall hearing something about the S.C.P. one time was that they wanted to take back control of the issuance of money in Canada and take it away from the private banksters. Imagine a party wanting to take back control of the issuance of money in Canada away from private banksters? Wow, what a concept, eh? Now that would have been a great thing for any political party in Canada to be doing for we the sheeple of Canada.  I never see you ever lambast the communist party of Canada or even the liberal party? Why?  Just asking.

Wilbur and Taxme, it is interesting to read your input but I am going to reserve judgement for the conclusions of the investigation. The Mueller investigation may clear the President of all allegations.

Calling people names weakens the veracity of your arguments. I speak to my self in this regard as well.

The farce called the Mueller investigation needs to be discontinued as they will never be able to get Trump impeached on anything because they have nothing on Trump. But yet this farce goes on and on and on and it is costing the American taxpayer's millions of their tax dollars and all for nothing. The get Trump impeachment game has lost.

This so called investigation is a  prime example of how governments can so easily take taxpayer's tax dollars and blow them willy-nilly. Government "IS" the problem, and never the solution. Pretty much 90% of all government is nothing more than a big fat farce bent on blowing as much tax dollars as it can and the sad part is that they the sheeple do not seem to give a dam about it. Pathetic.

Like what names? Just curious?

Social Credit expropriated (stole) BC Electric from the shareholders and turned it into BC Hydro. They took a profitable power company that provided good service and turned it into a sinkhole for taxpayers money with no customer service. The approached my father-in-law who had recently retired from the military and asked if he would run for the legislature. He too, was unfamiliar with the Socred's funny money so the party flack tried to explain it. When it was still incomprehensible, the guy said, "It's to get rid of the Jews." My father-in-law threw him out of the house. The Socred Premier and "Flying" Phil Gaglardi (Highways Minister) decided to build a highway where their sons had just recently purchased a vast tract of land. It created such a scandal that Rolf Harris recorded a song about it. "There were two wild Kelowna boys and Bennett was their name..."

Social Credit morphed into the "Reform" party.

I have never said at anytime that I know best although I will admit that I like to think that I know best. LOL.  My only problem is that I prefer to go with what appears to be more common sense and logic and not with emotionalism and foolish political correctness talk. That is what a real and true conservative does. Thinks before they speak. It truly does work. :)

Indeed politics is bad entertainment and it is sure as hell costing you and me the taxpayer's hundreds of billions of our tax dollars every year being wasted on politicians who only know how to waste taxpayer's tax dollars on the many of their useless liberal/socialist programs and agendas that are of no good at all for Canada or Canadians except to keep giving them more grief and more sorrow.  I know they say that we should not talk politics and that would be great if politicians first consulted the people on what they were going to do with our tax dollars and allow us to be able to express our opinions on what they want to throw at us. But today we must now talk about politics and now must take it seriously because politics today is ruining and running our lives into the ground. It's not the taxpayer's that are making any decisions anymore, it is the politicians who make all the decisions for Canadians that are of no benefit to us at all. Thanks to politics and politicians world wars have been started by them where millions of innocent lives either end up injured or dead. Hiding or being afraid of wanting to talk about politics is just what politicians want we the sheeple to be doing. All politicians think that they know best. If so, then why are we all in a political mess these days thanks to our politicians? Just wondering.

In most cases any company taken over and run by politicians will always end up turning that business adventure into a non-profit bloody waste of taxpayer's tax dollars mess. Look at the CBC as an example. It needs tax dollars to stay afloat. Hydro is needed by all and if that privately owned hydro business is starting to go belly up then I guess that there is not much choice left but for the government to take over and try and run that business and try to break even. But here in BC the BC government owns and operates liquor stores and is in the car insurance business which they should never be involved in at all. All they are is just a cash cow for the government. I think that the private sector should be running those businesses and not the government.

In politics just about most politicians play that same game that the Bennett boys have played. Many people entered politics not all that rich but after they left politics, voila, they suddenly are rich. As far as I can see politicians are not there for you and me but to pretty much benefit themselves and to try and change laws so that those laws changed will benefit them after they leave politics.  All political party's are pretty much all sleep together. It would appear to me as though they do look after each other no matter. Former premier Kathleen Wynne should be in jail by now for what she did to the taxpayer's of Ontario with the billions of their tax dollars being washed down the drain. Sad part about it is that the people let politicians like her walk away scot free and without a whimper. It's very hard to want to blame all politicians all that much when we all know for a fact that most Canadians could careless as to what politicians do to them every day and how they blow their tax dollars. It's criminal with what they are allowed to get away with by they the sheeple. This I don't care attitude needs to change. Good luck on that one.

I think you should get involved. I ran for the BC legislature and later sought the party nomination in a Federal election. I ran against the provincial leader of the Liberal Party who generously gave me advice on speaking at all- candidates meetings. I have worked on campaigns for Allan McKinnon (Minister of Veterans Affairs), Don Munro, Erik Nielsen (acting Leader of the Opposition), Don Ravis. George Hees bought me a beer :D, and so on. I also campaigned for Joe Clark in both leadership campaigns. Out of all the politicians I've known, from all political parties, I have yet to meet anyone who comes close to the person you describe.

I used to work for a major bank and I can tell you most successful MP's leave office poorer than when they went in. They gave up their successful law practices at the cusp of their prime earning years to take a job that pays a quarter as much and where everyone automatically assumes, as you do, that you are a crook and a liar, but when they want something, you are temporarily their best friend. Yes, MacKenzie King left office a millionaire. But look at the years it took Judy LaMarsh and Joe Clark to pay off their debts.

If you get involved, listen and learn why politicians do the things they do and keep an open mind.

You say that like it is a bad thing. Liberal values are shared by many Americans and Canadians. It is a legitimate political view just as Conservative values are. It is only politics.

The Liberal and Democrat parties are just so interested in getting votes via virtue signalling that they actually end up being divisive and silly.

Why won't the FBI shows us the rest of the documents that people like Nunes are asking for and Mueller won't ask for? Hundreds of pages are being kept away from being looked at by the Nunes committee. If a politician like Trump says that he wants to "drain the swamp" well why would anyone want to attack such a person? Support the person. So, if we had a politician in Canada that said that they would like to drain the swamp in Ottawa would Mr.A now attack them?  This guy likes to let on that he is so knowledgeable about politics but appears to always want to protect the swamp. I would prefer to listen to FOX News rather than what Mr. A would like us all to listen too. Mr. A likes to dodge. Mr.A lives in a make believe world all of his own. Just saying. :D

I don't follow, sorry. Who is Mr A?

All politicians put on a great show that they care and want to do something to drain the swamp. But in the end nothing ever gets done. All we just get is less freedom, more taxes and more government. Our politicians are nothing more than puppets on a string to the masters that really run this country. I have not heard of one politician who goes outside the party line and survives. And if they do, kaboom, they are out of here. When Harper was a member of the National Citizens coalition which I payed plenty of money and dues into and who preached about more freedom, less government and less taxes, and when he became the PM of Canada he gave me just the opposite, more taxes, more government, and less freedom. They are pretty much all alike. They learn very quickly as to who is the real boss running Canada and it ain't them, pardner. I am pretty sure that George Hees got that money back in someway for the beer that he bought you compliments of the taxpayer. If they have quit politics and have come out broke well they did not suck up to the right people or knew how to play the game to end up becoming rich when they leave politics. I heard that Chretien did quite well after he left politics. At least they all get nice benefits and pensions after they leave politics. They do a lot better than most Canadians ever do all their life in trying to save money for their pensions.

You know what your problem is? You have to much faith in a crooked system and of politicians who do not have your interest at heart because if they did Canada and Canadians would not be in the position and situation that they find themselves into today. I see nothing but contempt from just about all politicians.  Anyone who has a good career and has a job that pays well and quits to become a politician is just plain stupid to want to get involved in politics. The salary and benefits may appear is the reason why they got involved in politics. Did they not check to see as to whether it would be beneficial to their wallets being filled for them to become a politician? Did they think that they could become a politician and maybe have a chance to get rich at taxpayer's expense? Who knows.

I am involved in politics and I listen and every day I watch as to what these politicians do and I am not very happy with what they are doing to this country or to my tax dollars. I have an open mind which is something I cannot say for some members here. Just saying.

Cooper is one fake and phony liberal media actor and activist hack that I would not touch, as they say, with a fifty foot pole. That guy has this liberal disease going around and there is no way that I would want to catch that liberal plague. Steer clear of that guy. LOL.

 I'm anxious to see DT call a guy who already got a President to resign in the face of impeachment, because of his historically great reporting, Fake News.

Chief of staff John Kelly describes Trump as an "idiot" and "unhinged," Woodward reports. Defense Secretary James Mattis describes Trump as having the understanding of "a fifth or sixth grader." And Trump's former personal lawyer John Dowd describes the President as "a fucking liar," telling Trump he would end up in an "orange jump suit" if he testified to special counsel Robert Mueller.
"He's an idiot. It's pointless to try to convince him of anything. He's gone off the rails. We're in crazytown," Kelly is quoted as saying at a staff meeting in his office. "I don't even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I've ever had."

Democrats cannot stop President Trump's SECOND nominee for Supreme Court justice....so they throw tantrums instead...just like Nov 8, 2016.

Quote

...The display was equal parts a protest against the GOP’s attempt to fast-track Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court, a last-ditch heave into the end zone for a party that lacks the votes to defeat him, and a rather transparent bit of presidential posturing by Booker in advance of a possible 2020 White House run. But ultimately, Senate Democrats are finally showing up to a battle that was lost in the wee hours of November 8, 2016.

This is a funny poll

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/12/politics/cnn-poll-mueller-trump-approval-gap/index.html

Quote

Special counsel Robert Mueller's approval rating for handling the Russia investigation stands at 50% in a new CNN Poll conducted by SSRS. That outpaces President Donald Trump's approval rating on the matter by 20 points.

The "intelligence" community is really afraid of the release of the un-redacted documents. Excuses about "sources and methods" abound, but honestly it's their methods that are in question here. If they were all acting above board they'd still have jobs.

Brennan is the worst. He's crapping his pants, and acting government officials to resist the authority of the whitehouse. He's going to be making excuses about his own conduct soon enough. That slimy piece of garbage is going to be in hot water before Trump ever will.

There was time when Bob Woodward was regarded as a man of integrity, but honestly he got that reputation by reporting on something that was true. He locked his sights on a story that he wanted to report on, and that fit his narrative. If he loved Nixon the way that Anderson Cooper loves Hillary would he even have reported on that? Probably not, judging by what we are seeing today.

He has completely distanced himself from the notion of having any integrity whatsoever, because all the people he is quoting through his "anonymous sources" are calling BS. And Trump obviously has more understanding of world politics than a 5th grader. No 5 star general would make such a stupid comment to begin with.

There was also a time when the FBI was regarded as one of the most trusted institutions in the USA. That time has passed as well. When I was in high school and I watched the news I just assumed it was "the news". We would all agree that we can turn on the TV and pick a news channel that will lie to us. Anderson Cooper getting busted for standing in a ditch to exaggerate the level of flooding where he was should tell you all that you need to know about CNN.

Lying to Congress under oath. He has a long history of it, but never with the stakes this high.

I know there are lots of people calling Trump a serial liar but he has no track record of lying re: material facts as president.

Honestly if you look back at all his "big lies" he turned out to be right and CNN was lying the whole time.

1) Trump: "Obama wiretapped me".

CNN, Obama, MSNBC: "Haha Trump is a big liar and a joke".

Turns out that Obama's crew did spy on Trump. To say "wiretapped Trump directly" isn't 100% accurate but Obama and the media knew Trump was telling the truth when they all laughed and called him a liar. No apologies ever came from that.

2) Trump's lie re: Hillary's debate "preparations"

It was some big joke that Trump thought Hillary was surprisingly well-prepared for certain debate questions, and he was a liar/loser for insinuating anything. It turns out that Hillary actually did have some of the questions in her pocket - CNN knew because they gave them to her.

Sure Trump slept with a playboy bunny and a porn star, and that's not good, but 90% of the guys you know would have done the same thing given the opportunity and Bill Clinton did far worse. He raped and sexually harassed his employees. Think about the difference between consensual sex with two women who were independently wealthy compared to raping/harassing women who work for you or are interns. CNN never cared about that and they still don't, but for some reason they care that some stupid broad says she was almost raped approximately 36 years ago (doesn't know the exact year, let alone the date), she doesn't remember exactly which party she was at, but there were witnesses there (wink wink, if you want to step fwd and be a witness I'll provide you with some details, hurry we only have til Tuesday). Still after 36 years none of them know exactly when or where. And it's totally honest for Dems to pretend to care about this. And also for Hollywood celebs, who gave an Oscar to Roman Pedophilanski and cheered for him when they all know he was guilty, to pretend to be concerned for someone who is most likely a bullshitter. She says "it's still too harrowing to talk about" but she doesn't remember where or when it happened.

Give me a friggin break. If you're following Dems or CNN and you believe anything they say you should never admit to that in public.
