America under President Trump

Mainly because America promised a lot and delivered nothing.  We should have kept the Arrow going.

Let's tackle the immigration issue, GH.

The problem is where does the polity of the USA draw the line. If we allow all the poor into the US as the Great Benefactor, we would have billions of people here. So looking at it from the poor’s perspective is not the whole story. And number two, if we let all the unfortunates enter the US, who is going to pay for them. The idea that they take no resources for support is wrong. For example, because it is a good one, California’s homeless situation is growing rapidly as people are pulling a John Steinbeck and moving to the land of warm opportunity which it is not. The attitude of California’s government is lunacy, as evidenced by the intrastate civil war that is brewing.

Jesus answered the politicians of his time when they questioned the use of ointments used for him by one of the women of his group. They asked him why waste the “capital” of that, you could give the money to the poor. His answer was, there will always be poor with us, but I will be with you for only a short time. He promoted support of the poor, but not their elimination. In today’s language, there will always be a spectrum of wealth in society. Jesus taught that we need to be satisfied with our lot and be as good as we can be.

This society is a powerful uplifter of people providing opportunity. That is why people die to come here. If we allow either the elite or too many indigents to destroy the ability to provide opportunity, this will come to a screeching halt. Which is exactly what Soros, Rockefeller et al want. The really scary pert is, if they were to get their way, what do they get out of it. If anyone thinks they are being altruistic, I have a Bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.

Unlike President Obama, President Trump and allied nations are not afraid to attack Syrian chemical weapons facilities and delivery systems.

WASHINGTON — The United States and European allies launched strikes on Friday against Syrian targets as President Trump sought to punish President Bashar al-Assad for a suspected chemical attack near Damascus last weekend that killed more than 40 people.

Mr. Trump said Britain and France had joined the United States in the strikes, which he said were underway.

Also not afraid to break the rule of the law within the USA and did not get congressional approval for war against Syria.

If that were true, you better bet they'd be screaming to impeach until your ears bleed. A quick check of cnn.com shows this not to be the case... all they're talking about is Stormy Dangles, and the much anticipated meeting between Trump and Kim Jong Un.

It takes a cigar to impeach a president.

His approval rating is rising!

President Donald Trump's approval rating is holding steady in a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, but his numbers on handling several key issues are climbing, as almost 6 in 10 say things in the country are going well.

On the issues, however, Trump's numbers are climbing. Approval is up 4 points on the economy to 52%, the first time it's topped 50% since March 2017; up 5 points on foreign trade to 43% approval; and his numbers on immigration have improved 4 points since February, with 40% now approving. On handling foreign affairs, Trump's approval rating tops 40% for the first time since April of 2017, though the increase since March is not statistically significant (42% approve currently).

Which is only evidence that his base are morally corrupt people.

An approval rating in the 40's is not something to celebrate. If you're celebrating not being rock bottom anymore, that's a low bar to set for yourself.

Morally corrupt?  That's your opinion.    But, I'm noticing though........that those who hate him, are quite so touchy. It doesn't take much to get them foaming and babbling.

No, it's not a cause for celebration....but, who's celebrating?  I'm merely pointing out that his approval rating is rising.

So Fox News would be cool with someone in the Obama administration making fun of someone with Terminal Brain Cancer?

If Obama paid off a porn star a week before the 2008 election, would that have been just the price of being a celebrity?

An exclamation point indicates exuberance.

Yes, and completely legal.

Obama and Hillary Clinton were too busy with Anthony Weiner troubles that were actually illegal....he thought he was a "porn star".

If it was completely legal, why the need for Rudy to answer for it (and then having to recant his statements). And why was Michael Cohen's office raided?

If it was completely legal then why not come clean and say that the news that Trump had sex with a Porn star would look bad so close to an election?

And it's no big deal, then why pay off Daniels?

If it was not completely legal, then why did Stormy Daniels try to get out of her legally binding settlement ?

If it was not completely legal, then why hasn't Stormy Daniels or Trump been charged with a crime ?

The legality comes into play when denying you knew about a contribution during a campaign. If Cohen gave the money to help him win the election it's a campaign donation.

This is why Rudy has to come out and say Trump did know. . . But that looks bad so now it has to be an Adultery Slush Fund. . . which also looks bad.

So why not just come clean? Ditto with not apologizing to McCain for making fun of him. It just speaks to very immoral people in the WH.

Which exposes his base for the hypocrites they are.

Good! Trudeau sucks. This is a Trump thread.

Also JT faces 3 national parties while the US really only has two. So 40% is actually very good in Canada.

...and Trump's is doing no worse than Trudeau, Macron, or Merkel, which was the NY Times' point (has nothing to see with pretend parties in Canada (e.g. Greens).

And Trump matters a lot more than all of them...while having a lot more fun than all of them, including porn stars !

So ?   You gotta problem wit dat ?

Check your morals at the door.

Just stating an observation.

If you believe Jesus is Lord, you probably shouldn't be rabidly supporting a man that habitually cheats on his wife and doesn't condemn people in his staff making fun of a dying man.

I wonder if he'd be cool with someone mocking Melania's health issues?

While being so observant, you might note that the Lord Jesus forgives sinners....that's the basis for redemption and grace.

Lots of people cheat on their spouse, including many U.S. presidents.   So what ?

That's all you got ?

So forgive all numbers of sin from a person that you think will try to prevent people from aborting fetuses or giving rights to gay people. It's interesting how morality works that way. Sexual sin from a heterosexual "billionaire", that's cool. Same sex relationships. . . abomination to God.
