Left-wing American non-profit/charitable foundations are funding left-wing political agitation in Canada. Naturally, the left is silent when it comes to this flow of money for political purposes (just as it's silent about left-wing political agitation from the CBC, governmental bureaucracies, and public sector unions).

A lot of research went into this article, I hope you folks appreciate it.

I have been preaching this for a while. It just sickens me that the Canadian left have no problem with foreign money dictating what we do or who we vote for. Talk about selling out the country. So foreign money and unions running the country after the next election, sounds scary to me. We regular folk that just work hard for what little we have ,will have nothing left.

Were you complaining when the amalgamated Reform/PC Party gave us an American-style right wing political party? As if we don't already know that advisers like Frank Luntz and a lot of the money coming in to the slush funds of think tanks like the Fraser Institute didn't have American fingerprints on it:Koch Brothers, Tea Party Billionaires, Donated To Right-Wing Fraser Institute, Reports Show

The right wing hack site started by cokehead breitbart is trying to portray the Democratic Party funding sources like the Ford Foundation as left wing. There is no such thing as a left wing billionaire! It's an oxymoron that doesn't exist in the real world. Same with the foundations started up by Gates, Soros et al, are set up to handpick "moderates" and establish limits on how far left the Democratic Party can travel.....and that means no further than full support for the military-industrial complex, private prison and charter schooling industries etc. I'm sure we can expect the same thing once they decide whether to make the Liberals or the NDP the 2nd party in a two party rigged system like they have south of the border!

There's been a plethora stories since the NDP's seizing of power in Alberta related to the hemorrhaging of cash from major oilsands companies due to increased NDP revenge taxes, as well as recent layoffs from these players numbering in the thousands.

Breitbart???

LOL

If you had a genuinely good faith interest, you'd spend the minimal amount of time required - less than thirty seconds - to find articles pertaining to economic conditions in Alberta following the NDP's seizure of power. Correlation isn't causation in the main, as oil prices have dropped about 50% in recent times, but the NDP's policies have had a lot to do with it.

Sure they do.....and David Suzuki.......that old fart is causing all those Calgary pinkslips.......not the price of oil ($45), improper management (Conoco-Phillips) or safety records (Nexxen). Sure.

Jesus Murphy, it's no wonder no one takes you and your crank site seriously with spittle-flecked nonsense like this.

He is actually quoting himself from the blogger site.

The double standards and inconsistency that drips from people like Kraychik are borderline humorous.

In one breath, Canada's economic record, which happen to be one of the worst in Canadian history since Harper took over have NOTHING to do with Harper's management and all to do with global economics and the price of oil, but Alberta's oil industry woes have everything to do with the NDP government that just came into power in Alberta.

So more of your opinion.

You have any sort of credible source for the NDP shutting down the oil sands? Or am I just supposed to believe you because you posted it on more than one site?

I found this article.

But it should be pointed out that the author is a director of the Fraser Institute and those guys take piles of foreign money so you can't really trust them.

That article doesn't really say much either. Again, it's another opinion piece, but the fundamental premise of the article and kraychik's arguments is flawed (not to sound like Harper). It assumes that alternative energy and the oil sands are mutually exclusive. There's no reason Alberta can't develop a strategy to diversify the energy sector in this country. Having a dual-pronged approach to energy in Alberta will provide it with a lot more stability in the long term.
