August1991
At this point, I reckon Scott Walker but I'm not really following this. I also reckon that Rand Paul, at this stage, has some very devoted supporters who make him seem important. bush_cheney2004
Rand Paul is a non-factor...unelectable on a national ticket.
On Guard for Thee
The repubs will recall that Christie was actually friendly with Obama when he showed up after the big storm and flood.. That will blow his chances I expect.
August1991
Rand Paul is a non-factor...unelectable on a national ticket. Yet the Democrats may possibly choose Hillary Clinton - who IMHO is unelectable. So, it happens. Indeed, I suspect the only way that Walker will "make" President, as you Americans term such, is if he faces Clinton épouse.

She can raise far more money, and has more experience and organization for a presidential run. CPAC and Iowa straw polls don't matter much..... Bob Macadoo
I like Ohio governor John Kasich. To me he is the general poll republican. Probably can't get any fund raising though.....too rational.
Argus
Rand Paul is a non-factor...unelectable on a national ticket. Anyone who moves far enough to the right to please the rabble of the Tea Party will be unelectable on a national ticket.
Shady
I'd have to say probably Jeb Bush, with Scott Walker as a possibility. Although I think Marco Rubio has a decent shot as well.

Good suggestion, I had forgotten about him. He's kind of under the radar. If he doesn't, he'd be a great VP pick.

Paul is more of a libertarian, non-interventionalist.
kimmy
Ted Cruz is running to make the eventual winner seem like a moderate by comparison. -k

I agree, I think the top of the ticket will be either Bush (likely) or Christie (maybe), with the eventual bottom half being Walker or Rubio.... Derek 2.0
Jeb Bush and he will win the election. I agree, but I don't doubt Clinton could prove a challenge.......but then again, her record has yet to be fully examined by the public. overthere
That is a seriously pathetic list. Is that the best the GOP can do?
Shady
That is a seriously pathetic list. Is that the best the GOP can do? Why is it pathetic? Regardless, the list will grow as others will also enter the race. There are some governors that still haven't decided.

Can't be wose that Obama wich was worse that GWB, which was worse than Clinton, which was worse than Bush Sr which was .. and on and on. GostHacked
Or just another Bush. #3 just to put emphasis on it. As we have not had a second Trudea ... yet. Not that I support Trudeau or anything. Because not stating that also means I am with the terrorists.

Not so much, we tend to go for quality not quantity. BTW, can you try and make sure Sarah Pallin gets on the ticket. You really could use someone to keep their eye on the Rooskies.
