On Guard for Thee Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Have you ever posted a positive thing about the Conservative Party? Or any conservative party in Canada? I applauded Joe Clark on his Vietnamese boat people efforts, but that was before this forum existed. Quote
Canada_First Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 I applauded Joe Clark on his Vietnamese boat people efforts, but that was before this forum existed. So the answer is no. Thank you. Quote
ToadBrother Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Have you ever posted any positive comments about any conservative type party in Canada? Jeez, you're the one who declared the Reform party too left for your tastes. But please don't let me interrupt your shameless trolling and flamebaitery. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 So the answer is no. Thank you. But hey, it was about immigration, one of your fav. subjects. Quote
PIK Posted September 14, 2015 Report Posted September 14, 2015 Actually about that....yes. Yes he is. http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/04/21/ei-fund-budget-surplus-canada-2015_n_7113322.html Exactly, so it was not rocket science that people seem to say about martin paying it off. He was nothing special. But he did get a tax cut for his company. Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

Now you're saying what a great guy he is because he did! Your partisan bias is working overtime here. Quote

cybercoma Posted September 15, 2015 Author Report Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) And the thing is, Squid, nobody has addressed the change in accounting procedures that have made it impossible to compare budgets back past 2012. There has been no update of the historical record and there likely won't ever be one. Imagine the howls if one of the opposition parties, especially the NDP changing the accounting procedures. socialist Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 And the thing is, Squid, nobody has addressed the change in accounting procedures that have made it impossible to compare budgets back past 2012. There has been no update of the historical record and there likely won't ever be one. Imagine the howls if one of the opposition parties, especially the NDP changing the accounting procedures. The Finance Department released the REAL numbers ending March 31, 2015. Those numbers are REAL numbers as they happened in real life. The Auditor General department verified those numbers BEFORE the Finance Dept released them. Here are some facts for you, real facts: "Moreover, the Finance Department shows spending by veterans affairs was up $121 million in fiscal 2015 or 13% and spending by aboriginal affairs was up a whopping $1.9 billion or 29% compared to fiscal 2014. Federal transfers to individuals -- old age security, EI benefits, and so on -- were up 5.9%, well past the annual rate of inflation. Ottawa also sent more money to provincial capitals in 2004-2015. Those transfers were up 4.4%. All of these numbers, by the way, got the seal of approval from Auditor General Michael Ferguson before being released." Quote Thankful to have become a free thinker.
cybercoma Posted September 15, 2015 Author Report Posted September 15, 2015 So about those "real" numbers, they changed the accounting. Do you have anything to say about that step and our inability to go back and make comparisons year-on-year? Quote
waldo Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 Here are some facts for you, real facts please sir... you did not source attribute your 'said facts' Quote
