I agree. Don't promote your vids here. However, here are some tips.

1) Purchase a better mic. The sound is horrible.

2) Dress up the background. Something visually pleasing or solid white.

3) Speak with passion. Your monotone reading is painfully dull. Only pick topics you're passionate about.

4) Don't Read Your Lines!!! Learn what you want to say ahead of time. If necessary setup a cue card off camera.

5) Edit your videos. Don't show yourself reaching for the cam. Consider doing segments and splicing them together. If you want a one take look, tape it several times and choose the best.

6) Even though it's a one sided vodcast, be provocative. Engage your audience, challenge them, ask rhetorical questions or even actual questions. Make them love or hate you.

In short, create a personality and up the production quality.
