2012 debates

As for Bubber's assertion. Do you really think that someone saying liar(Obama never even heard it?) while he's giving an address is comparible to Romney going into hostile boardrooms and stockholder meetings in a 25 yr career? Of course the left thinks that's comparible. That's why they were so surprised that Obama couldn't keep up with Romney.

I think you get a lot more hostility being president than you get from shareholders at a board meeting. That's why they invented the Secret Service.

Actually, what showed was that Obama was coached to be un-confrontational, and would have rather been somewhere else. There won't be the same problem next time.

Spoken like a true Obama fanboy. Nothing is ever his fault. Even when he craps all over himself during a debate.

Do you actually think that there's anything conservative about you or do you now realise that your screen name is false advertising?

It was always meant to be false advertising...but hey, when the conservatives think I'm liberal, and the liberals think I'm conservative, I must be doing something right.

Come on. Romney has flip-flopped so many times even he doesn't remember where he stands on the issues. Shady has supported him unflinchingly for all of it.

Even if your micharacterisation of Romney being the ultimate flip-flopper was true, I'd rather have someone who occasionally flips onto the principles of freedom and liberty than someone who is consistently socialistic/communistic.

It is. Didn't you see the debate?

As Bill Maher said, when the Romney people said they were going to reboot the campaign, they weren't kidding. They erased the hard drive, took it out, and smashed it with a hammer.

For Romney, it didn't end well enough. It wasn't a game changing debate...and there are two more. Obama did look off his game. He looked tired...he looked sick, actually.

This was not only Obama's worst performance in a debate, it was likely the worst performance from anyone in the history of American presidential debates. If debates can be game changers, then this was the ultimate game change.

Not necessarily.

Ouch.....

It wasn't that bad. It wasn't good, but it certainly wasn't as bad as you're trying to paint it.

So you're a "little bit conservative", yet quote Bill Maher? You have no idea how many leftists I've met just like you that actually delude themselves into thinking that they're moderates or partly conservative.

Yeah? Give me an example of a worse performance. Go run to Politico and tell us John Kerry apparently won the debates he had against Bush in 2004.

Yes. I also listen to Hannity occasionally, as well as several other Conservatives on Radio...they're just too far to the right for me to generally agree (I sometimes do though).

In the Canadian context, I'm definitely what would be considered a centrist. In the American one, not so much.

I don't use politico. I generally have very little use or care for US politics, other than for entertainment value.

Hate to break it to you, but you are not a centrist in the Canadian context. Don't let me burst your bubble of delusion, though. Leftists love viewing themselves as pragmatic centrists. It's typical although perhaps you think you're unique and an original thinker.

Ouch.....

I kid because I care. :)

In other news...

Amidst all this talk of tightening the purse strings and every cent is sacred (No, Monty, not every sperm... ever CENT), Romney would spend $2,000,000,000,000 on the military that they didn't ask for.

Let that sink in as you consider the PBS cuts.

I am going go ahead and offer you the same deal I have everyone else. I see no Co servative on this board with their crazy hyperbole, they don't actually believe has take me up on it. If you believe it was so bad and such a game changer put your money where you mouth is.

Here is the deal. Obama wins you can stop posting for two months. Romney wins I do the same. The or are you all talk? Just like most conservatives I bet you are all talk and when push comes to shove your beliefs crumble.

Most likely people who went into the debate undecided care more about the content than the performance, and therefore are more likely to fact-check what was said. That's not going to turn out so well for Romney.
