A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Its black and white folks. Actually, it started with a "fear" of your government...but that didn't last long. Now the government fears an armed citizenry. The relationship is based on individual liberty and enumerated rights. You guys eventually got some in writing too. There are a lot of guns in Canada. It's not my boat...firearms are inseparable from the history of the United States and the American experience. They were the tools of subsistence, rebellion, conquest, expansion, and civil war.
