Flipper Can Dish it, But he Can't Take It

He's not going after the money hard enough.

He's coddling the Saudi's

He's coddling the Iranians.

Iraq.

Radical Islam in the prisons system.

Undermining human rights and damaging the moral high ground.

Unravelling alliances because they don't suit him. "We can't let the coalition set the mission."

Undermining liberalism when he should be holding it high.

For those reasons, I think he's soft on terror.

You're right on Harper.

Sadly, I don't think most portions of the public care about the policies, but they realize that they won't be implemented anyway.

The US system makes promises impossible to be upheld.

They all are.
He's not going after the money hard enough.
See above.
He's coddling the Iranians.
Very, very different story. I think the Iranians can deal with themselves.
Iraq.
Look what happened in Libya.
Radical Islam in the prisons system.
Huh?
Undermining human rights and damaging the moral high ground.
I agree. Bush lacks finesse. But all US presidents are suspected of being nefarious.
Unravelling alliances because they don't suit him. "We can't let the coalition set the mission."
Bush went to the UN and arguably acted under its resolutions. But the big buildings were in NY, not Paris.
Undermining liberalism when he should be holding it high.
Here I guess you mean steel (which is not really connected to terrorism). I completely agree. Clinton, like Thatcher, stood up to these people asking for other's people's money.

Saudi Arabia and Iran both harbor terrorists.

And worse, they nearly executed Canadian and British expats on trumped up charges just to get some of their own terrorists out of Gitmo.

So where's the outrage?

Moreover,

Bush and human rights.

The high road is very important in this war. What has in fact happened at Gitmo and Abu is really aweful, plus these secret trials.

It makes the Americans come out as a bunch of Saudi's or Iranians (Kazemi).

The answer that just because all US presidents have human rights records that would make them comperable to Alliende doesn't make Bush's current behaviour any more 'right'.

If anything, given the environment, it makes it all the more 'wrong'.

You can't simultaneously fight to defend 'the american way of life' and undermine human rights.

Don't know if someone posted this already but, didn't Bush just flip-flop too saying, "we can never win it" and then saying, "we will win!"

Can we or can't we win, which one is it...that's a flip flop to me! Or is it only a flip-flop when the Democrats do it?

NOW:

"I don't think you can win [the War on Terror]."

- President Bush, 8/30/04

THEN:

"I have a clear vision and a strategy to win the war on terror."

- President Bush, 7/19/04

"People say, ‘Can you win the war on terror?’ Of course we can."

- President Bush, 5/14/04

"One of the interesting things people ask me, now that we're asking questions, is, can you ever win the war on terror? Of course you can…it's essential we win this battle in the war on terror."

- President Bush, 4/13/04

"We're going to win the war on terror."

- President Bush, 2/12/04

As to your second question: according to the true doctrinaires, Republicans simply revise their position after carefully considering the matter from all sides. Only Democrats "flip-flop". ;)
