Romney Derangement Syndrome

Recommended Posts

Come'on man, stop being so disingenuous. He's talking infront of a predominantly African-American audience, and he says Romney wants to put y'all back in chains. He's a race-baiting lowlife.

I agree that race-baiters are lowlifes.

Stay classy, Shady.

Yah it is ridiculous at one time in America the poor were in slaved due to taking out debts to live. That is the America Romney wants and that has nothing to do with race. Sorry Shady but no one is putting the shackles back on anyone White, Black, Asian, or other no matter what Romney wants. BTW as you can see that has nothing to do with race.

Nobody's putting chains back on y'all either, despite what the old and senile VP says during his speeches.

Whatever. Point is the statement isn't racist it is a statement of historical fact. Biden is clearly making the argument that Romney wants to regress instead of progress. Sorry you had to learn a little history it must have hurt.

So Biden's statement that Romney wants to put people back into slavery is a historical fact?

Biden is clearly making the argument that Romney wants to regress instead of progress.

Right, so Romney's policies are tantamount to putting people back into slavery. Are you for real?

I really hope you don't actually believe that's what he said. If you do.....Shady, I think you're smarter than all of these talking points you keep repeating, no matter the evidence to the contrary.

Well, what does "He (Romney) wants to put y'all back in chains" mean to you?

They always would with me....and probably should. People are way too anal about these things.

Right. Republicans can't even call Obama's policies socialist without people like you getting their panties in a bunch, but Romney's policies being akin to slavery is acceptable. Wow, whatever dude.

If Biden had said "fascist" you'd be on to something.

Or if "socialist" was used metaphorically, rather than as an expression of political ignorance.

Metaphorical slavery is perfectly bipartisan. :)

LOL! Nice, so calling Obama's policies socialist is over the top, but Romney's policies being akin to slavery is perfectly acceptable! You guys are hilariouis!

Are you actually being serious or just pretending?

I revised my post just before you responded:

Biden was using metaphor...whether good metaphor or not is certainly open to question.

But the cries of "socialist" are used literally.

So yeah, there's a big difference.

But they aren't, so it's an idiotic thing to say.

I see, so calling Obama's comment about "spreading the wealth around" as socialist is idiotic. But Romney's policies are akin to slavery is acceptable. Keep digging.

Sometimes literally, sometimes not. Why is that not acceptable, but claiming someone's policies are akin to slavery is? What standard are you applying now?

If a Republican would have compared an Obama policy to slavery, you'd be shitting yourself right now. You guys are hilarious!

I'm thinking you're just not understanding intentionally...at least I'm hoping so. One is a metaphor, and one is literal.

Biden was referring to Republican calls to "unshackle Wall Street." Nobody is sh*tting themselves that they made a metaphor that compared regulating Wall Street to slavery. They're also not trying to race-bait by saying the Republicans were talking about Black people.

You should work for the Obama campaign, you come spinning to the rescue everytime they step in it. Yeah, making the comment "Romney wants to put y'all back in chains" to a large number of African-Americans isn't race-baiting.

You're pretty hilarious too!

So how is using a slavery metaphor acceptable?

Because it's not a serious comparison. It's an exaggeration to get the point across. Calling Obama a socialist and being serious about it is just unrealistic, mostly because it isn't being done as a metaphor.

So what? Why's that acceptable? Why is comparing anyone's policy to slavery acceptable? Especially for a sitting VP?

Why isn't it also not a serious comparison, and an exaggeration? Why doesn't that get a pass from you as well?
