Remember the calls that went out on election day telling people their polls had been moved?

Well the firm apparently has links to the Tories.

Of course, the Conservatives are feigning ignorance. They're going to get to the bottom of which campaign worker acted unilaterally to have these calls conducted.

It was an unpaid campaign worker ORRR a bureaucrat, those are the only two types of people that are the ones doing anything wrong within The Harper Government. Ever.

The subject firm is lcoated in Edmonton- Strathcona riding, home of lonely NDP MP Linda Duncan.

the company, "Racknine"... whatever relevance/significance you think mentioning the company's riding location (or reference to it's MP) has, are few things are certain:

Racknine worked for the Harper Conservatives 2011 national campaign and those of at least nine Conservative candidates, including Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s own campaign in Calgary Southwest.

Some people should actually READ an article before they get all in a frenzy.

frenzy? Just the facts, Jack!

speaking of, is there a dose of implication to go with your fact?

One other interesting fact is what is NOT here. The path goes through Conservative and Liberal ties but nothing at all linked to the NDP. The Liberals and Conservatives are left accusing the each other and the NDP are on the sidelines.

clearly, the issue surrounding the company, Racknine', is whether or not it had any active complicity or was simply a benign go-between

From the evidence presented it is obvious the person(s) wanted to hide their identity. My guess as well is, if a credit card was used to setup the Call Center account, then that credit card number may be a stolen number. That assumption is purely a guess.

Excuse me but aren't you the main supporter of Bill C-30? The credit card might be stolen but whatever name is on it will be seen as guilty ..just like your Bill C-30..it's easy for anyone with a little bit of hacking ability to put files on anybody's computer that they do not like..which is a big problem with that bill..yet you support it

but here you're like "the credit card may be a stolen number" now you're all of a sudden worried about an innocent person being arrested? what a hypocrite you are

Or perhaps it is an Alberta Conservative campaign worker that flew to Montreal and purchased a disposable cell phone on or around Election Day. The person(s) then used the cell phone to send harassing calls to Ontario Liberal supporters on Election Day.

Which party was it that sent phone calls to Irwin Cotlers riding telling them he is resigning and then admit to doing that in QP while jovially patting themselves on the back for it? Was it the NDP no? It was the Conservatives

Their is no doubt in my mind that the Conservatives are responsible for this and there is no doubt in my mind that someone near the top instructed them what to do

Yes, I thought this would be self-evident as well.

Did Cotler end up getting an apology in the house?

There was no apology given, the speaker of the house condemned it but that was all

Has the liberal party contenders ever pay back the money yet, because we all know if the cons were guilty of that ,the papers would still be running the story.

Oh I am sure the NDP can do dirty things too, every political group will, it's just done more by the CPC in the last 6 years than the other parties

btw, I doubt anyone will accept a blogspot post as legit

Blogspots are only legit when it is against the cons ,I get it.;)

I just did it to provoke a response for you, my target was within fifteen minutes and you came very close.

I really appreciate the close attention you pay to every post I make, I feel loved and comforted.

It would actually depend which side of 50th street the Racknine office is on whether it is in the NDP riding.

The government should do something.

The sun news is so riled they got a fast quick article out to lessen the damage..you can tell since they repeated a quote twice

http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/sunnews/politics/archives/2012/02/20120223-115806.html

The Conservative Party of Canada was not involved with these calls. We spent the entire campaign identifying supporters and we work hard to get them out to vote on Election Day," said party spokesman Fred Delorey. "Our job is to get votes out, we do not engage in voter suppression."

Jenni Byrne, 2011 National Campaign Manager for the Conservative Party of Canada, released the following statement:

"The Conservative Party of Canada ran a clean and ethical campaign and would never tolerate such activity. The Party was not involved with these calls and if anyone on a local campaign was involved they will not play a role in a future campaign.

Voter suppression is extremely serious and If anything improper occurred those responsible should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

2 things...

1) Some information or cite or your assertion to "Liberal ties"

and

2) How again are the Liberals involved in this particular instance and why would anyone accuse them of involvement?

I see you're still smarting! I note your updated strident attention to detail on the company's geographic location... even if it undercuts your earlier premise (whatever it actually was... since you seem to be deflecting wildly from it) - good on ya!

I'm not sure what people are complaining about here. Politicians lie to people all the time - from all parties. Why is it somehow worse if their campaign workers lie to people?
