I don't think they have anything against the Star except their editorial position. They do talk about the how there are things MSM media won't discuss and they will. That's more Sun News than the Newspapers though.

How does the above , editorial discussion, tie in with the below quote re the CBC and how they spend their money?

The CBC on the other hand takes $1 billion MORE tax dollars than any other media organization gets in grants yet refuses to reveal information like how much certain information on how they spend public money that's supposed to go to furthering culture.

Yay, Brian Lilly wrote a book. Good for him. He spent months writing it. Hmm...months huh? It must be an in depth look.

Brian Lilly has a book out about it.

This obsession with the CBC that some have is rather amusing. The CBC is going no where, the CPC increased funding and they know how valuable it is to plenty of people and as such, a no touch commodity.

Didn't they just their budget cut it in the last budget? They're also having a tough time with the absence of Hockey.

The budget was due to come down but I dont recall if it did, so you sould well be right.

Everyone is having a hard time with no hockey.

But CBC Sports is not part of the federal grant money they receive. CBC sports funds itself.

another recent Fox News gem/fail, one highlighted within a MLW status update... and, of course, it got heavy play across lamestream media and fake-skeptic blog outlets, most particularly those that revel in casting doubt and uncertainty towards suggestions or considerations of renewable energy:

According to FOX, solar power only works in Germany because they have more sun than the United States
That's a misrepresentation of the total of what was said, cybercoma. I listened to the video. The segment is clearly stating that it works in California but is not so effective on the East coast; that ours is a vast country, so we're going to have to work on and find solutions that work for us in regards to solar energy.

Germany... more sun than the United States? No - not according to the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory - where virtually the entirety of the continental United States gets more sun than even the sunniest part of Germany.

"Germany's solar resource is akin to Alaska's," the U.S. state with by far the lowest annual average of direct solar energy.

The Birther movement was a prime example of purposefully being fed misinformation.

Another example I remember was the UN atomic meeting where fox tried to make it look like the UN's symbol was made to look like an islamic flag... (The UN flag was modelled after an atomic model)

Purposefully misleading their viewers.

Is the Birther movement anything like the Truther movement?

I'm of the opinion that more often than not,it is those on the left that are in the dark about most subjects.Obama is more of a celebrity than a competent leader and I would wager that the vast majority of his supporters are clueless about important things, like the huge debt or the Bhengazi fiasco.

In case this was missed - one of FOX's producers who reportedly worked with Carlson - Pfeifer says the conspiracy is "insane" but their viewers "believe it".  This is the reversal of News -> viewers informing the journalists rather than the other way around, and why the FCC should remove the license from FOX News.

:

  • “This stuff is so f------ insane. Vote rigging to the tune of millions? C’mon,” Fox Corporation executive Raj Shah said Nov. 20, 2020, urging a producer for Carlson's show to not spend too much time on the issue. (The producer, Alex Pfeifer, responded: "It is so insane but our viewers believe it so addressing again how her stupid venezuela affidavit isn't proof might insult them.")
