It's really hard to see your example as anything but theoretical. I can't imagine someone like that - 2nd example - working in the real world without major social issues.

Yeah, people not performing a service for racist reasons certainly is a stretch. *sarcasm*

Do you see a fundamental difference between discrimination based on indoctrinated racism vs indoctrinated religious views?

The specific example given didn't make sense, when taken with the 3 precepts I would minimally need to allow someone the right to discriminate.

Do you see a fundamental difference between discrimination based on indoctrinated racism vs indoctrinated religious views?

Yes, definitely. They are entirely different things.

From my point of view they are very similar if not the same. In both cases we have people discriminating against a class of people based on ideas they were fed before they were old enough to think critically. How does a religious root to discrimination change anything?

Exactly.

As people begin to realize that ideas are just ideas and some can be justified by real logical reasons and others can only be justified by deeply indoctrinated beliefs - well, lets hope logic wins out otherwise we are looking at another "Dark Ages" but this time thanks to Muslims rather than Christians.

So ... You're asking how, for example, Nazi racial purity ideas are different than Christianity ?

I wouldn't know ... where to ... start.

Person A is taught from birth that black people are inferior. Person A grows up to discriminate against black people.

Person B is taught from birth that a god exists and that god says homosexuality is an abomination. Person B grows up to discriminate against homosexuals.

Do you feel there is an ethical difference?

Why Nazis?

Why not KKK? Who certainly are Christian in their beliefs. Use them as your example.

“The Pope did not enter into the details of the situation of Mrs. Davis and his meeting with her should not be considered a form of support of her position in all of its particular and complex aspects.”

The pope is apparently as relatively liberal as we thought after all. The one person the pope planned to meet privately with: "happens to be an openly gay man who brought along his partner of 19 years."

Davis and her lawyer also claimed 100,000 Peruvians had a prayer rally for Kim Davis, but that didn't happen either.

Serious doubts about their mental stability.
