Bonam Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 (edited) So, answer yes or a no or don't know for all of these questions ... you may elaborate if you want about your answer Are these issues moral or immoral to you? [*]Same Sex Marriage [*]Abortion - fine [*]Assisted Suicide [*]Prostitution [*]Infidelity [*]Pornography [*]Gambling [*]Human Cloning [*]Drug Use [*]Drinking and Driving [*]Polygamy [*]Safe Injection Sites [*]1st Cousins Marrying [*]Divorce I have no qualms with most of the stuff on the list. What goes on between two (or more) consenting adults is their business and nobody else's. A few exceptions... A core part of morality is honesty, in my opinion. Infidelity, behind one's spouse's back, is inherently dishonest. On the other hand, people can engage in open marriages as much as they like if both partners agree. Drinking and driving could be immoral since it places other people in direct physical danger as a result of one's recklessness. Anything that causes substantial physical danger or harm to others, without their consent or just cause, is immoral. Safe injection sites are a conscious use of society's common resources to facilitate an illegal activity. That being said, legality is not the same as morality. Drugs being illegal doesn't necessarily mean that their use is immoral. While I believe safe injection sites are a perverse misallocation of taxpayer's money, I don't think they are inherently immoral. Edited October 30, 2011 by Bonam Quote
