takeanumber
I'm pretty sure that that breaks the law. lol. UNB has egg on its face.
caesar
Unbelieveable. The man should have a good court case if they persist. I don't think I would want to send my children there.
takeanumber
Incidents like this proove just how far new brunswick has to come in terms of basic morals and values. A guidedog is like a wheelchair. You don't get kicked out of the library for having a noisy electric chair. It's just insane.
maplesyrup
Man told to speak English to dog You can't teach an old dog new tricks, but can you teach it a new language?Trois Rivieres native Yvan Tessier was asked to do just that when he enrolled in a five-week English immersion program at University of New Brunswick. The blind francophone was told to sign a form promising to speak only English to his guide dog, which had been trained at the Quebec guide-dog foundation MIRA, the university said. The demand was only the latest in the UNB's campaign of discrimination, say Tessier and his supporters at MIRA and St. Paul University in Ottawa, where he is a master's student. I just saw a UNB spokesperson talking about the situation on TV and she was laughing. I don't think M Tessier is laughing about the situation.
