Mainstream Media ignoring and sidelining Ron Paul

Recommended Posts

Or you could just listen to Jesse Ventura and he will tell you that he doesn't believe a lot of the conspiracies, that it is just a show and it is meant to entertain people. He is a libertarian too so I am not surprised that you think he is crazy.

I don't think Ron Paul is crazy, just wrong.

If JV doesn't believe those conspiracies then he's really doing a terrible thing by misleading people into mistrusting the government just to make a successful show.

Why the media ignore Ron Paul

In short, no, he will never be president of the United States and no, he is not a plausible contender for the GOP nomination, so those who are covering the campaign don't feel obliged to pretend otherwise.

This is, as I've already said, why the media is "ignoring" Paul - same as it ignores many other things. Anyone who thinks it's a form of "censorship" really doesn't understand what censorship is/involves. He gets as much news coverage as he warrants.

America was founded by making a success of fostering mistrust for the government....it is a very American attribute. Free speech means exactly that.

He doesn't trust the US government, he calls the US fascist, he says that corporations control the government.

Who ever has the most money and influence is in control - of course they control the government in America...and OUR corporations with their army of lawyers controls the government in Canada - so welcome to the real world.

Sure wish they would ignore Sarah Palin a bit more though.

Reality TV is big right now - and diversion from reality has become a tradtion - be it Palin or Perry - both are on the same level...both are entertainers - It might be good to get some comedians in office rather than the smooth peotic crooner that Amwerica has now - the choice is simple - Fire Frank Obama and hire someone funny - Now lets get on with the show.

Yes, that is a very good attribute to have, too bad only a few people have it now.

Governments can become very dangerous, that is to say that they are easily corruptible. I believe the founding fathers of America knew this and that is why they setup their political and economic system the way they did, they made full of fail-safes. America was designed to be a constitutional republic, now they don't follow the constitution and their Federal government has gotten so large and powerful it that their republic is dying.

Section 10 - No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

All Ron Paul is saying is they should follow the Constitution, why do so many people think that is such a bad idea. I think this is in part why Paul gets no media coverage. Big government, corporations and banks benefit greatly from having a fiat currency, they need the easy credit to survive. They aren't going to put someone on TV that is a threat to them.

The worst part is all the debt, taxes and inflation associated with fiat currencies are hurting the middle class the most and they don't even realize it.

What is your point?

Random stat, people say he is not electable but I think if the media let him say his message then he would easily get elected. Even when the media has him on now they ask him irrelevant questions such as "do you think the media is treating you unfairly" or "what do you think of this campaign add", useless questions like that.

All Ron Paul is saying.....

Ron Paul had his shot several times and his "message" is not enough. Even if he were to win he would not have the power to do the things he talks about....America shall have no kings or queens, not even libertarian ones.

There would be no middle class were it not for the very debt system and fiat currency you decry. Easy credit made all their "stuff" possible.

If your president can take your country to war with out the approval of the people then he is a king, Obama is a king.

Define stuff.

Debt isn't some sort of privilege, it is a burden.

Obama is subject to the War Powers Act....and Congress has to provide continued funding for wars.

Define stuff.

Houses, automobiles, SUVs, recreational vehicles, water craft, small aircraft, large appliances, furniture, televisions, computers, clothing, jewelry...you get the idea.

Debt isn't some sort of privilege, it is a burden.

Only for those who can't afford it.

Did people not own houses under a gold standard...as for the other stuff, how do you know what would of been invented had your country stayed on a gold standard.

Only for those who can't afford it.

But it isn't fair when countries can print money to service the debt which hurts the people.

Perfectly legal..."your people" didn't approve the wars either. That's why we vote for federal offices.

The Great Depression occurred when "my country" was on the gold standard, which was temporarily abandoned as part of the recovery.

But it isn't fair when countries can print money to service the debt which hurts the people.

Life isn't fair.

Debt is is a burden if you were irresponsible enough to take on more than you can handle.

Giving credit to one based solely on the color of skin is the highest form of government irresponsibility. Thanks Dodd and Frank.
