Oleg Bach
Correct...Wall Street is in the United States. For you, Bay Street will have to do. Bay street is a very nice subsiduary of Wall Street...both are partners - and as you said Wall street is Bay Streets oldest and most dear enemy. Oleg Bach
I did. Now I'm comfortably retired. Now I can address big picture issues that threaten the futures of my grandchildren. As an activist along with many others, some Jews, a significant element has been protesting neo-nazis and other racists. You don't know doo-doo, Bob, because you are blinded by hate. Take a chill pill. He is not blinded by hate - he is much like those Americans who set up a very lucritive security industry by terrorising their own people - Bob is a careerist - and he does not really hate anyone...he's just another drone making a buck and some fame in the hate industry - that is closely connected to the fear industry - that is closely connected to the companies that sell billions of dollars of high tech devices to air ports that us poor citizens pay for - Bob is just another upscale paraiste - that woule HATE world peace - cos he would have to get a real job digging a ditch - and Jews don't like labour - unless it is a Palistinian doing it for cheap. jacee
Jacee is claiming that the 1%ers are breaking the law and hiding their tax dollars….I say prove it…….Name, names......Otherwise, it’s a baseless generalization of the wealthy…….. You're in law enforcement Derek ... you go find them. You're the one who resents paying taxes. And you are in the group who's going to be on the hook to pay more in the next round of tax increases dictated by the G20 elite because you can be sure it won't be them! They throw you to the dogs and you defend them.(?) I assume they must be paying you well, but they're laughing at you too. Shady
It'd be nice to be able to protest something as long as these folks have. Unfortunately, I have a job to go to, and bills to pay. You know, the whole grown up thing.

Many of these people protesting aren't stupid, they aren't protesting because they are bored and have nothing better to do...they have realized the system is flawed, they know that all the money is going to the top of the pyramid and they are getting nothing, this is why they are protesting. Moonlight Graham
Another example of the common association between leftist "Wall Street occupiers" and anti-Semitism. Remember, "bankers" is often code language for Jews (we're the evil and greedy money-changers, doncha know?). Here we got some moron with a sign demanding that people go to Google to see "Wall Street Jews" and "Jewish billionaires". Again, typical envious, pathetic, unemployed, uneducated trash demanding something for nothing. Since many people are aware that Jews tend to outperform all other groups academically, professionally, and financially, Jewish people have become an icon of resentment among the pathetic loser left (i.e. jacee). We represent everything they hate. In reality, hatred from these rats should be worn as a badge of honour. I find it ironic that you are probably the most hateful person on these boards. You are entertaining to read...comparing people you dislike to "rats"...where have I heard that before? The irony!

jbg
These demonstrations are a left-wingers' Tea Party. Basically saying "I'm mad as h**l and I'm not goin to take it any more". There's no coherent vision; just nihilism.

You’re starting to sound paranoid…….again, you’ve yet to identify them And in other news: The rich getting poorer According to the latest edition of Canadian Business magazine, many of Canada’s wealthiest people have actually seen their fortunes shrink in the past year At what point to you increase 1%er to say 5%er, or 10%er.......once they're tapped, why not go after the 25%ers

Bonam
Oh, that clears it up. I still don't understand, saying I am wrong means nothing to me, explain to me why I am wrong. Look at the federal budget. How much of it goes to what. Biggest line items are social security, medicare and medicaid, military. Who benefits from social security, medicare, and medicaid? Hundreds and hundreds of billions are spent on these annually, and it's certainly not the wealthy at the "top of the pyramid" who need these programs. If you've been reading the thread you would know that many of them are college graduates who can't find jobs. They're not enjoying unemployment. That's one reason they're protesting ... the economy, the recession caused by the banks ... you know.So count yourself lucky to have a job. They'd like to be in your shoes. I am not advocating state socialism, I don't believe that is a solution. Look at the wealth gap in the US, it is the largest of any of the industrial nations, why is that? It definitely isn't because of social security or other entitlement programs or a lack of taxes on the rich.
