Bonam
This is what people like jbg, Dancer, Bonam and others are trying to justify Youtube Palestinian propaganda videos prove nothing. By the way, if their situation is so bad, they should get off their asses and make some food and shelter for themselves instead of waiting for handouts. And that's just the libertarian in me talking, has nothing to do this particular conflict.

Make some food with what? 40% of the farm land is under the buffer zone. You step on this farm land and you get killed. Much like the mother who went looking for her grade schooler and got shot and killed on her farm and Israel's buffer zone. Do you know how much how much livestock was destroyed by Israeli forces? Factories to produce food were also damaged. How will they build houses when Israel is not allowing building material in?
Bonam
Make some food with what? 40% of the farm land is under the buffer zone. The other 60%? Do some fishing? Be innovative and set up some greenhouses like the Israelis did? Or hell, just actually use the greenhouses the Israelis left behind instead of pillaging them? Nah, that'd be too civilized apparently. Much like the mother who went looking for her grade schooler and got shot and killed on her farm and Israel's buffer zone. People should know better than to stray into buffer zones. Just take a look at Korea's DMZ. Do grade schoolers go playing there, chased by their worried mothers? No. Do you know how much how much livestock was destroyed by Israeli forces? Factories to produce food were also damaged. That's what you get when you launch thousands of rockets at your militarily superior neighbor, they might retaliate and cause some damage. Who woulda thought? How will they build houses when Israel is not allowing building material in? Grow and cut down some trees? Dig up some stones? Make some clay? People have been building houses for thousands of years without being shipped building materials from across the globe.

How about instead of apologizing for this inhumane blockade, try condemning it. Build with rocks in the ground? This is how desperate and how silly you're argument has become. Topaz
I know it take two to tango but you would think that the Jews would try to be a better nation since what it itself experienced from the Germans. Would Jesus treat these people like the Jews are . I have to believe no, he would turn the other cheek and treat these people better. What does it say about the rest of the world. No nation should have its people starve no matter what the reason, no matter what nation is doing it.

How much money do they spend on making weapons - try making peace and opening up trade. Even the Egyptians do not want them - that should tell you something about who is the trouble maker That will all change when the attitudes in Gaza change If indeed they ever do. Borg How come you never ask Israel to make peace and follow international law? For example: giving Palestinians their land and removing the illegal settlements? Why do you give a pass to Israel? They don't want their land back.

Israel has "made peace"...now it just needs to follow through like Canada and the United States...you know...like building housing developments, sports stadiums, parks, and highways on the land. Then maybe mint some coins with Arafat's image...like a Buffalo nickel!

They arent allowed to import construction material... and they arent allowed commercial exports to get money to buy stuff. Or at least they werent... maybe they are now, I read the siege has been downgraded but Im not sure what the actual changes are.
Bonam
They arent allowed to import construction material... and they arent allowed commercial exports to get money to buy stuff. Again with the imports and exports. FFS. Use the resources that are there and make stuff out of them. Have none of you ever made something with your own two hands? Sigh. People have been living on that scrap of land for thousands of years, using the resources available to them there to provide food and shelter for themselves. You mean the Palestinians should just submit to the blockade, bombing and other pressure from Israel, and somehow just cease to exist. Ya right. People have been living on that scrap of land for thousands of years, using the resources available to them there to provide food and shelter for themselves. I am surprised at your outrage Bonam. You are outraged at 1.5 million people, who have been purposely held in an open air prison, on a land the size of Montreal You're outraged because their buildings have been purposely damaged or demolished and then purposely prevented from being able to be fixed the buildings by cutting any type of movement of material and tools. You're outraged that they can't fix their sewage system that was hit by bombs and missiles which need parts that must be ordered from outside of Gaza. You're outraged at the farmers that can't revive their livestock and chicken after the Israeli army destroyed them. You're outraged at the farmers for not being able to plant enough food, because 40% of their farms are in the bufferzone near the border. As a mother's children found out, Israel will not hesitate to kill anyone who enters this bufferzone. Yet, you're not outraged by anything Israel has done to purposely create this situation.
