Wilber Posted December 5, 2009 Report Posted December 5, 2009 I can see why the feds would like this idea. It gives the them much more control over what gets taxed. If the feds want to tax something new through the GST, it automatically gets hit with PST as well. The province can then enjoy the increased revenue while blaming it on the feds. It's a win win for government. Guess who loses. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
William Ashley Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 That's quite possibly THE dumbest thing I've ever seen written in this forum during the 5 or so years I've been reading and posting here. Please tell me this is satire. Please, I beg you. Sounds a bit like Hollywood to me, without the cocaine. Quote I was here.
William Ashley Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Today that PC's walked out, in protest against the HST. The PC leader is not against the tax as much as he kept saying that Dalton isn't reducing the tax like other provinces did. The tax will bring in 3 Bil for Ontario and give 5BIL to the Feds. This is all politics for the PCs and why hasn't he talked to his friend Flaherty IF he is so much against it???? Showmanship? Quote I was here.
Jack Weber Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Showmanship? Phony showmanship(is there any other kind?)by a former Harrisite/Flaharty cheerleader. Quote The beatings will continue until morale improves!!!
