bloodyminded Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Yeesh. I just watched it...on the strength of the glowing reviews here. Thanks a lot. I'll preface this by saying, yes, people will always disagree on movies.... But good Christ. I not only thought it wasn't great; I think it is actively bad. The pacing's all off, making it dull; and it's not funny, a slight problem for a comedy. Shaun of the Dead is brilliant. Part of its appeal is that it has real heart. Genuine heart. Zombieland...nothing. Quote As scarce as truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --Josh Billings

Zombieland...nothing. That's funny. I hated Shaun of the dead, I found it so stupid and boring that I couldn't even watch the whole thing. I can't stand the main actor in that movie for one so that didn't help. Everyone has different tastes I guess. Shaun of the dead brilliant?? I just don't see how anybody could think it was THAT good. Our specific disagreement aside, I thoroughly sympathize. Many here loved "Zombieland"; I thought it was the worst movie I've seen in a while. (And I watch a lot of movies.) wyly Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 I like Shaun of Dead because it was well written and good dialogue...I didn't like Zombieland because it's more slapstick... is one better than the other? depends on you...my brother and wife like slapstick the more the better they just don't get one line liners, sarcasm, it's not funny to them as sight gags...
