Ha, from you that's a laugh. She's taking money that could have went to lower taxes or to increase the profits of corporations and she's giving it out to everyone...people who didn't even work for it. If you want to see obtuse, go to the birther thread.

Keep trying to spin it, but she's spreading the wealth. I have no problem with that. You should.

She is paying out profits to each and every Alaskan. If she were spreading the wealth, she would be taking money from the rich and not so rich Alaskans and giving to the poor and not so poor Alaskans.

Now, in Obama's case, he just takes the company over completely, refuses to sell it back when the company wishes to purchase it, places somebody who has never managed a business in charge of it and then takes from the rich and gives to the poor beyond normal taxes and, as the companies he has taken over no longer can make a profit, unlike Alaska under Palin, nobody gets a share of the profits hence, the poor get money from the rich. That is socialism.

Ok, I'll try and explain this again. Maybe if I go slowly, you'll understand better.

Alaska's oil isn't owned by any oil companies. They pay for the rights to extract it.

This money is then sent to all Alaskan citizens, because it technically belongs to everyone in the state. Even non-oil workers.

Hence, the rebate.

I hope this helps. :)

Sounds like people on the right enjoy spinning their hypocrisy. It doesn't matter why she's doing it, she's doing it in a way that the right should hate. People are getting money for nothing.....even the unemployed.

You seem to be stuck on stupid, and incredibly intellectually dishonest. Shame on you.

She has no option to do it. It's part of the Alaskan law that predates her.

She doesn't take that money from anybody though, it's already there coming in so instead of filtering it to pet projects of special interest groups and supporters she spreads it to all which is what all good leaders should do once the basics have been covered.

Great thread though. Nine months after her relevancy she is still the focus of the Left. More talked about than Bush for crying out loud.

And hot. Mmmmmmmm. While Obama might do it for quasie male lefties like Matthews Palin does it for any red blooded man.

so what you're saying is that your support in politics comes down to how much you want to copulate with the politician?

Glad you are getting a kick out of it sparky. Palin will be about as relevant as this post will be in another 6 months.

I'm not sure how you arrive at that conclusion. Especially since Palin will be campaigning for Republicans in the fall of 2010. Which, according to my math, is much further than 6 months from now. I guess it's just another case of you being wrong, once again. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Why isn't she campaigning for the big Governor races coming up in Virgina and New Jersey right now? I wonder why they are hiding her Shady?

Yes......they do. They most certainly wouldn't want to hear anything you would favor. They don't like "apologists" for terrorism.

C'mon guys, Sarah Palin cannot possibly be held responsible for all that is wrong with America even if you don't agree with her. She's only one person, and even if she did become President, she'd still have congress to deal with.

Besides, when she and McCain can draw as many votes as they did last November, that's not far-right extreme radical politics, that's mainstram America folks.

She can't possibly be the demon everyone has made her out to be, just as Obama is not the political saviour of America he's been cast as. Palin has influence, like it or not, and she's not going away. Of course falling back on simplistic political ideologies is more comfortable than actually having to do any thinking, and Democrats fall back on old ideologies as much as Republicans do. They think Obama represents change, but it's still the same system he has to work with.

Ask any liberal in the United States and your likely to hear a political ideal that's at least fifty to a hundred years out of date as the solution to todays complex problems. The past owns liberals as much as it owns conservatives who don't do any thinking...the past is just a more comfortable place. Of course, then there are the people who like to use their celebrity status to tell us what to think and who to vote for, rip apart people like Sarah Palin, and don't have the guts to run for office themselves.

...

the POTUS needs no Congress in order to destroy the world -- Sarah Palin would not go down in history as anything if she destroyed humanity's ability to record history
