The terns were everywhere, eating and pooping but mainly eating. So much so that there were wide spread fears that the crops would be lost and there was a possibility of famine. Therefore the central authority issued a proclamation that all the peasants, workers and soldier were to kill as many terns as they could and issued quotas to each cadre. They were also told that they should throw stones at nesting terns so that by keeping them in flight they would die of exhaustion. The Red Guard marched though the streets carrying patriotic signs exhorting everyone to... ... leave no tern unstoned. Thank you thank you. Now I heard the first thing out of Sean Hannity mouth was KILL THEM!! when this happen. Would they do the same if it were Eagles??? I'm really not sure what you're getting at, though; are you taking it personally because it's Canadian Geese? Personally, I don't agree with killing the geese, although I suppose it's along the same line as allowing deer hunting season so the overpopulation of deer doesn't lead to even more road/highway accidents/deaths. And that is a problem. I just don't see where capturing and killing 2000 geese is going to solve anything. It's not as if more geese won't migrate there from everywhere else.
