KingIggy Posted June 4, 2009 Author Report Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) The USA is a great country in theory. However, the fact that 75% of US presidents have been Republicans has HURT the application of true Liberty (which includes gay marriage rights, abortion rights, weed rights, the right to see nudity on prime time TV, the right to hear swearing on prime time TV, the rights of innocent foreign civilians to not be killed, the rights of children to health care and education...). Apparently you don't know anything about the birth of the US Republican party. That's OK.... Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Argus Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I thought you might be 18 or 19....then it was 14 or 15....it's down to 11 years old now. I don't think you realize how juvenile your posts are. You seem to be a very angry young Liberal. It took you this long to figure out how empty-headed his trollish postings are? Why do you guys even flatter him by answering any of his crap? Argus Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Hey Bull-Headed Fascist -YOU are the one who abandoned the Eisenhower paradigm : "Beware the military-industrial complex".Ignorant TWIT. Greeeat. Now we have Dumb and Dumber. Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley
Jerry J. Fortin Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Hey Bull-Headed Fascist -YOU are the one who abandoned the Eisenhower paradigm : "Beware the military-industrial complex".Ignorant TWIT. He did coin the phrase, but to suggest that it be called the Eisenhower Paradigm and that the Americans abandoned it is simply foolish. They never adopted it in the first place. Ike tried to warn the people but they would not listen. Quote
normanchateau Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Alienation of the West by first Trudeau and then Chretien, created an appetite for separation in Alberta and British Columbia. An appetite for separation in British Columbia? It's true that Doug Christie, a lawyer known for defending Holocaust deniers and former Nazis who immigrated illegally into Canada, started a political party in British Columbia which advocated the separation of western Canada. His party received 0.02% of the popular vote in at least two elections here in British Columbia. Is that what you mean by Trudeau and Chretien created an appetite for separation in British Columbia? You seem to be a very angry young Liberal. You mean like Harper was at one time? Yeah, Harper first party HE chose was the Liberal and only quit because he didn't like the national energy program Trudeau brought in, it hurt the oil companies. Nothing changed he's still doing it! Jerry J. Fortin Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Harper wants power, he craves it and will do anything at all to get it and keep it. Quote
Smallc Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 An apetite for separation....pfft. That only exists for a majority in Quebec...and a much smaller majority in Alberta. It's almost non existant in BC. I'm really not sure what Chretien did that was so anti west though. Quote
normanchateau Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 I'm really not sure what Chretien did that was so anti west though. What has Harper done for the West? He's shovelled billions into Quebec in a futile bid to secure Quebec's vote at the expense of the West. Quote
