Given the participants - 75 academics and humanitarians - it makes sense that Ignatieff was invited and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.....but I wouldn't be surprised if Obama scolds some of his advisers for politicizing the occasion with separate "private" meetings. If the article is accurate and we are to believe the Liberal spokesperson, then it would seem that intentionally or not, these meetings constitute a provocative political situation.
