jdobbin
http://www.channelcanada.com/Article2359.html TSN2 launches on August 29 at 7 p.m. ET with exclusive live Canadian coverage of the U.S. Open tennis tournament. TSN2’s roster features an exciting lineup of exclusive live sports games and events, including the NHL, CFL, NBA, Curling, International Hockey, Golf, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, IndyCar Series, Grand Slam Tennis, Champions League Soccer, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and NCAA Football and Basketball. Guess it was bound to happen. There are too many times when sports programming runs concurrent. With TSN covering things like curling for all hours, they need another network for regular coverage of things hockey, basketball.

Sounds like an affordable alternative to the centre ice package. All in all not a bad idea.

Just called MTS and they have no plans to offer the channel in Manitoba. Yeesh. No word on Shaw yet.

I'd like to get MTS out in the sticks and have everything on one bill, but no cigar.

I haven't heard anything thus far from Bell or Starchoice. They are cutting it kind of close considering when the channel launches. The Globe reports that they are still in talk with distributors. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/sto...Story/TPComment King would not comment on which cable and satellite companies will carry the channel. However, TSN would not have announced the service without several big distributors on board."We're in the middle of negotiations," King said. Spokespeople for Rogers Cable and Bell TV confirmed that negotiations are taking place with TSN. No return telephone calls were received from both Cogeco and Shaw cable systems.
