Bible Verse of the Day! Luke 19:27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me.

They entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
-
A lovely verse from Chronicles Part Deux 15:12 where God orders the death of non-believers including women and children. Though I'm sure he did that out of love.
-
Yeah, but this one is in the New Testament for all those Christians who think the Old Testament is just a bunch of nonsense for Jews.

NDP MP Fin Donnelly, acting as MP, personally handed Chris Alexander the BC family's file for the refugee boy who drowned.

Why should refugee claimants that have connections suddenly get moved to the front of the line? Isn't that queue jumping?
-
You can always count on the NDP for cheap theatrics.

and lies apparently http://mobile.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUSKCN0R324720150903

After getting lit up by Rosemary Barton, Chris Alexandre cancels his morning interviews and "temporarily suspends" his election campaign. Must be soothing those burns.

So would you be happy with a socialist government in power forever?
-
I'd be happier with a government that is more honest, more respectful of our constitution, and more democratic.
-
So after how many years of ndp rule would you want them removed from office?

7 consecutive deficits and 2 recessions. Harper's economic record is clear.

Yeah tying the Iran deal to Harper's fiscal woes was even a stretch for Shady.
-
Maybe his name should be Gumby instead of Shady.
-
Hey don't leave out his partner Pokey. You know who I mean.
-
At campaign events in August, Mulcair answered 258 questions, Trudeau answered 204 questions, and Harper answered 102 questions.

I like how the Harper crowds boo the media when they ask difficult or uncomfortable questions...
These people really don't care about truth...
-
They do more than boo the media at times as well.
-
You POS are LIARS!

Harper's private security goons have overspent their budget by $23 million

State a fact--Harper's private security has overspent their budgets by $23 million--and the radical right loses their god damned minds. Brilliant!
-
The only people losing their mind are the left who do suffer from the acute onset of paranoia in reaction to CPC/Harper policies, and yeah, the very existence of PM Harper.
Psychological transference politically speaking is about assigning to others what you really feel yourself, or erroneously assigning your feelings/paranoia to someone else
-
Yeah, but how about that budget though? lol
-
Harper refuses to answer questions about why members of his current PMO are talking to witnesses at the Duffy trial.
-
I want to go on record as saying that I too refuse to answer any questions regarding that particular data. I also refuse to answer questions about the refused questions. And any intern issues.
-
So you think he should be more controlling of them then right?
-
Yeah, Shady. That's kind of his job. He should control the people in his office and stop trying to control MPs.
-
-
Conservative candidates told to skip debates and avoid the media. All part of Harper's Openness and Accountabilityâ„¢ strategy.
-
Not surprised, Harper has been hiding from the media for some time. I guess this latest is just another example of the control freak he is often referred to as being.
-
They really don't want to highlight their record of debt and corruption or talk about their plan to "stay the course". This is truly a party of one.

Harper Conservatives: Making Canada and the World safer by selling arms to the terrorist-supporting Saudi regime.

Shady, again with the deflection. I don't support Iran...but why do you support SA when it is the largest source of state funds for groups like ISIS? Yet at the same time encourage wars against terrorist groups? #hypocrite
-
Shady is too dim to see his accusations of hypocrisy implicate him as well.
-
Because it creates jobs for Canadians. Give Saudi Arabia weapons. Canadians get jobs making instruments of destruction. Saudi Arabia gives those weapons to ISIS. Canadians get jobs policing the Middle East. It's all part of the economic strategy of the Harper Governmentâ„¢.
-
Harper's current "issues manager" confers with Chris Woodcock, the former "issues manager," at the Duffy trial and Harper has nothing to say about it.

He got rid of him. Now you guys agree with him. HAHAH
-
The Senate is an independent body. How did Harper "get rid of" a Senator exactly?
-
That's true and now that Harper has called an election, he, (and they) are back on the public payroll.
-
What I've learned from conservatives in this country is that Harper has absolutely no backbone. Not only does he not know what's going on in his own office, but he was forced into writing budgets for the opposition that put him into debt.

So you put up a status update, the first response easily refutes part of it, which you then of course ignore, and deflect. The opposition also demanded billions more in stimulus, which they didnt get, and then immediately complained about the deficit caused by the more restrained amount of spending, spin that.

Shut down oil sands? To what end? Supporting other countries elders and miscreants? To what end? Greater population density? The worst idea ever. renewables? look at the mess I. Ontario...you want that on a federal level? Shoring up agro? How? More factory farms? dangerous organics?
-
Hey pooch. Who writes the budgets?

I guess he and Woodcock are vying for the lamest comment of the day.

budgets balance themselves.

overwhere! Lil' buddy... there's a thread waiting for you... did you feel you stayed away long enough for it be buried?
-
#TBT Remember that time Joe Oliver misappropriated infrastructure funding to "beautify" his riding with gazebos?
-
methinks twas Clement (ably assisted by Baird)... but perhaps Oliver got in on the G8/G20 gravy-train gazebo-gate diversion, as well.
-
Meh, who cares about misappropriating taxpayer funds to gain favour in a swing riding. It's not like they sent voters to incorrect polling stations, used scams to overspend during election campaigns or built a $2M fake lake steps from a great lake.
-
Yeah who cares if we get the right person or not. Remember that time Justin Trudeau talked about Camenbert Cheese. That was funny.
-
-
Harper's majority legacy? We're not an energy superpower. No new pipelines. No new trade treaties. And never once did he balance the books.

About time somebody told it like it really is.

Yes, it's a good look for this party. We're ALL cheaters!
-
the sweetest part was watching Harper Conservative spokesman Kory Teneycke scramble to distance the party from the old geezer!

NDP buying votes in Scarborough by promising a subway. Time to withdraw my support from that horse. smdh

I'm in a pretty solid NDP riding, so my vote is immaterial. But, every time I think of actively supporting the NDP again, they start playing games tossing principles overboard to get elected! Than said: #1 objective is still anyone but the Cons.
-
What TM actually said was they would let the subway go ahead. Very different from "promising a subway."
-
"Let"? Are they to stop it? They have no jurisdiction over provincial infrastructure. That statement is even more stupid than what I thought he said.
-
Party leaders are taking questions from the press after the debate....except for Harper of course.

Terry Milewski dislikes Harper.

Most people who like Canada dislike him as well.

Oh for sure. Gotta think the way you do or you don't like Canada.

I admire many things about the U.S.A. But I cannot understand the quest to control what goes on in the bedrooms of people. Most free country in the world is complete BS

But wait, don't you think these gay leaders could influence the young boys choosing their future sexual patners?
-
Oh totally. I'm sure Boy Scouts leaders just take the kids out and teach them how to pick up.

It's crazy. It's almost as if people believed a lot of crazy different things 45 years ago. It's as though society has progressed and gained new knowledge in that time. Incredible!
-
Is that something somebody would believe even 40 years ago?
-
Psychosomatics was a common belief in the 60s.
