Yes you can, fill your bboots. Wait 'till they elect Ted Cruz if you want a real joke.

What about me makes you think I'd have anything in common with Ted Cruz? You keep responding to me on these statuses thinking we're disagreeing when we're not.

I never suggested you would have anything in common, just comparing and contrasting. I happen to think Obama is anything but a joke, but the Nobel prize has no sway on that thought.

  2. A long article, but one well worth reading on Harper's history in politics. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/15/stephen-harper-master-manipulator

It's quite easy to fact check the message, especially when you are talking a high profile public figure.

  3. I like that they sing the national anthem at the primary debates in the US. It makes it feel more like a sporting event.

You mean like Gary Goodyear? He's the Conservative rep on the science debate on Quirks and Quarks this week. I wonder if he'll say the world is 6,019 years old.

It panders to the base. Remember... The base doesn't see nuance. This is a black and white issue.

Dumb politics though. This is not the time to pander to the few nuts that like it when you say stupid things. Shady is already voting conservative.

I thought Conservatives supported popular opinion. At least that's what some of you goofballs keep saying about the niqab.

Also a false choice. Both lead to an increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

It depends how you define 'liberty'. If your definition of 'liberty' is 'privacy' then I disagree with both your statement and with your definition.

    1. waldo

and what minimal percentage of those would presume to be seeking citizenship and have cause/want to wear one within a citizenship ceremony? As Mulcair correctly stated: a Harper Conservative "Weapon of Mass Distraction"!

  14. Harper played the NFA to get them to shut up about C-51

    1. Derek 2.0

      Derek 2.0

Says the same Sheldon Clare that orchestrated the NFA’s response to the Moncton shootings and the Swiss arms debacle? The very same Sheldon Clare that got ousted from his presidency over “questionable governance”, then refused to leave? The same Mr Clare now running as an independent in this Federal election? That is hilarious.

  15. When people say they don't want PR because it gives disproportionate power to smaller parties, they ignore the fact that FPTP gives disproportionate power to parties that people didn't vote for.

Aye, but most who oppose PR benefit from the vote distortion provided by FPTP.

It's going to be a bigger problem in the future. People change over time and there's records of former selves that the media and others are now holding people to as if we never change.

The key issue here is that we will never get more people into politics. Less and less people are running all the time. It's becoming harder each year to find enough candidates for every riding.

Elections should be about candidates and parties' IDEAS for the future. Not abou...

Jerry Bance, on the other hand, is a sociopath and that kind of behaviour should be blown up for everyone to see.

  18. Harper says NDP has "deep hostility for small business." What part of cutting taxes to small business and raising corporate taxes on big box competitors is hostile to small business?

Raising corporate taxes hurts small and medium size corporations. Stop pretending every corporation is Walmart. The vast majority of corporation are small and medium size businesses. You're going to severely damage the economy over silly and stupid ideology.

    4. cybercoma

      cybercoma

And like Mighty AC said, small incorporated businesses get a small business deduction. Hence, lower taxes on small businesses.
