  1. So let me see if I understand the conservative position: Mutilating the genitals of infant males without consent is fine. But someone choosing to change their sex and gives consent to a sex change operation is not fine. Does no one see how messed up that is?
  2. Neither autism nor transgenderism are mental illnesses.
  3. In that case, do you support banning male infant genital mutilation?
  4. $20 per month... wow, I need to move.
  5. Not everyone uses incandescent light bulbs and lives in Seattle.
  6. What is interesting is that Petyr waited until after Sansa said she didn't want help to tell her about the riverlands. Maybe he was going to omit that information if Sansa wanted help, because then she would have asked Petyr to help liberate the riverlands with the vale's army (in which case Cersei would know, Petyr would be at war with Cersei and Petyr wouldn't be able to become warden of the North).
  7. Well Theon is allies with Sansa, thus indirectly Night's Watch + Vale + Riverlands, etc. They are screwed if they stay on the west coast, but if they were to run to the east coast of Westeros... say either Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, White Harbour (they are trying to recruit the Manderlys) or Gulltown, then they should be safe for a while. Euron is unlikely to waste time trying to chase them all the way to the east coast of Westeros. ...He did...

  11. I'm just curious... Never understood why people have such a problem with it.
  12. Out of curiosity, why do you find it disgusting but not homosexuality? Could you explain your reasoning?
  13. Who are you to say that incest is disgusting, while homosexuality or transgenderism isn't?
  14. Bill Maher and Ben Shapiro are both sexists. Bill Maher supports hiring discrimination based on sex and Ben Shapiro supports male infant genital mutilation.

@ DogOnPorch - liberalism has origins and roots. If people defy the basics of liberalism such as individualism and equality under the law then it seems reasonable to me to conclude that they are not liberal.

  15. Far more reasonable that fictionkin.
  16. For the record, I'm fine with incest as long as no offspring are produced, and fine with bestiality if you can somehow prove the animal consents. If someone genetically engineers super intelligent dolphins and one of these dolphins grows up and consents to have sex with a human, I have no issue with that.
  17. You are still a sentient being, so obviously you keep sentient being rights like voting. And yes, otherkin do exist: VIDEO LINK Cisgender male is a genetic male who identifies with the male gender role.
  18. It only appears that way because they are used to the winner-take-all first-past-the-post system. Implement a proportional system and parties will start to cooperate very quickly, like they do in other countries.
  19. The federal government is supposed to deal with federal issues, not local issues. The idea that only regionalists should be elected to parliament is archaic, undemocratic and results in a less effective government. You have municipal governments to deal with local issues. Under a proportional system, you regionalists can still get representation, it will just be in proportion to the number of votes. So if you want to create a Toronto is #1 party or whatever, go ahead.
  20. Because you can only have 1 leader, but there are over 300 MPs. If we were just electing 1 pm or having a referendum where we can only have 1 outcome, ranked ballot makes sense. But the point of a representative democracy is to represent the diverse political views of society. That's the point in having 300 MPs. If you have over 300 MPs, better to have some communists, some libertarians, some greens, etc. in the mix so that their voices are heard. Ranked ballot to elect MPs mean that fringe views don't get representation in parliament even if they make up a reasonable share of the electorate.
  21. This incident was definitely blown out of proportion. NDP and CPC trying to score political points. At least Elizabeth May was being reasonable.
  22. Maybe this incident suggests we have too many MPs in the house of commons and things are getting overcrowded. Our stupid constitution basically ensures that we can never decrease the number of MPs. That needs to change.
  23. NDP trying to put a gendered spin on this: Niki Ashton: "What I will say, if we apply a gendered lens, it is very important that young women in this space feel safe to come here and work here,"" Mulcair: "What kind of man elbows a woman? It's pathetic! You're pathetic!" So does the NDP think that it is less bad to elbow a man than a woman?
  24. What about the time he called Peter Kent a piece of sh*t?
  25. I don't identify as an MRA. I support equality!
