The article was clarly speaking about the action of SOME (not even a majority). If you are free to divert from that point into arguing that it is typical of homosexuals (something NOT found in the article), or talking about child-rearing (NOT in the article) or ranting about God's commandments (NOT in the article), I am free to bring it back to the topic at hand by mentioning FACTS that put it in a larger perspective. If there is anyone here that dodges the bullet constantly, it is YOU. You are of course free to follow your own advice. And, at least in theory, the Governor General appoints the Ministers, including the PM, she calls and abrogates the House, she issues election writs, the signs the law. The Governor Genral is no more an extension of the PM's office than the Crown is an extension of the office of the British PM. Whether the GG would go against the PM's advice is debatable, and it is indeed unlikely. But she has that power, and there is nothing he could do against it apart from seizing power illegally.

Bizarre, I just went though the whole thread and didn't find anyone defending Sid Ryan. Certainly not anyone saying how swell and perfect of a man he is. Arguing that what he said wasn't racist does not equate believing he's right (he most certainly is not), nor those defending his freedom of speech.

Plenty of people have also acknowledged the fact that this type of behaviour is far from being exclusive to gays, and that that FACT cannot be ignored. Want to know why some gay men (not many gay women, interestingly enough) engage in that type of behaviour? Is it because they're gay? If so, why is it that some heterosexual men do the same? There is no denial that far too many gays and lesbians experience self-hatred. But self-hatred is like hatred; it is not "innate" in anyone. If it was, how do you explain a GAY doctor warning other gays about dangerous practices? Self-hatred is taught. And in this case, the lesson does not come from God.

Some gay men are doing it. I think some have gone to jail. I also believe gay victims may be fearful of coming forward about it. But it happens.

Any practice that deliberatly seek to make other people sick is wrong, immoral and criminal, and the cutting and pasting illustrate that YOU ccannot stay on topic, so follow your own advice.

Has anybody here said that gays can do no wrong? Has anybody here said they are perfect? Has anybody here said it is all right for some gay men to pusposely try to infect others with HIV? If so, post the exact words that were said. What many people are pointing though is that the article you use with such glee in spreading homophobia was written by a GAY man. What they are pointing is the issue of people purposely infecting other people is not just a gay issue. You don't want to admit it, your problem.
