Whats wrong with private health care?

Private as in you pay for your health care. August1991, isn't the second choice what we have in Canada already. -

The advantages are you get better service and you get things quicker. -
I have nothing wrong with paying for my health care. I am in good health and I hardly go to the hospitial. Or the goverment could delist programs covered by the system, like abortions. O God, I'm in for it from you guys now.

114-Cons 112-Lib 58-Bloc 23-NDP 1-Green That's my two cents.

I personally think that Duceppe is the best leader. But I don't support the Bloc. I support Duceppe.

Interesting playfullfellow and Slavik44... I like the idea of a slush emergency fund. Do you know how long that would take to pay off any debt of a province? Long time. How much you would raise taxes on gas-guzzlers? I think 10%. And we also shouuld lower sale tax on hybird and economy cars. What about tax incentives for transit users? I like the idea of incentives for new doctors. I agree with labour camps. We should put a small new tax on gas, like 5 cent a litre when prices go down. Don't we sort of have two-tier school system? Free daycare for people have earn together under 48,000 dollars? Maybe. What about buying a part (25 or more %) of an oil company like Petro-Canada, Suncor, Gulf, Esso, etc etc. If prices went over 90 cents, the deal would be at least worth, a couple hundread million dollars. And building more wind turbines for power production. Gee, for a Conservative I seem pretty left.

Let me refine that budget. -cut taxes to everyone -debt payment -cut welfare and introduce welfare to work for people that are able to work -impose a big penalty fee for people who are in the ER who shouldn't be there -tax lottery money by 25-33% (who wins the lottery?) -allow university tuition fees to only raise 2% per year -raise sales tax alittle on gas-guzzlers and cars above a certain weight -lower sales tax on all hybird and small economy cars -raise taxes alittle for cigarettes, beer, and wine -cap teacher and doctor salaries at 55,000-60,000 dollars per year -raise minumim wage That is the revisied budget. Would you vote for it and what would you like to change if you could?
-
I would: -cut taxes to everyone -debt payment -more wind turbines for power production -cut welfare, encourage welfare people who are able to work to do so. -money for health care and education -impose a small fee for people that go to emergency when they shouldn't go there (like a bank service charge) -maybe buy 25% or more of a Canadian oil company like Petro-Canada or Suncor. -university tuiton fees can only raise 1% per year. This budget might have a small deficit like at the most 1 billion dollars. What do you guys think?

So caesar, you're saying that the only option is vote Liberal. You can't trust the Conservatives because they will destroy our social services. But you can't trust the NDP because they will destroy only economy. So the only option is voting Liberal. Well I resent that option. If Mr.Harper wins , he will be in a minroity government, so he will have to lean left. -

Conservatives aren't that bad. There was a time in the 1970s to early 1980s when 7 out of 10 provinces had Tory premiers, Tory:Peter Lougheed=Alberta, Sterling Lyon=Manitoba, Bill Davis=Ontario, New Brunswick=Richard Hatfield, NFL=Frank Moores, Nova Scotia=John Buchanan, John MacLean=P.E.I Others:NDP:Allan Blakeney Saskatchewan, Quebec=Rene Levesque=Parti Quebecois, Bill Bennett British Columbia=Social Credit -

I don't really want to be PM because it seems too big a job. If I go into politics, should I go straight away after university, or should I wait until I'm in my late 30s? I am a centrist political specturm guy. For the 2004 election, I support the Conservatives. It's not that I don't agree with liberal policies. I just want a change. The only person I support as leader is Gilles Duceppe. Not the Bloc, just Duceppe. He did very well in the debates and earned my respect. -

I don't see abortion as "A Woman's right to Choose". I see it as "Baby-Killing". So I am for "Pro-life". If a woman gets pregeant by accident, she should pay for her mistake. It's as simple as that. Casear, I am not a mixed up boy. I have read many political books. For one point, look at what Bob Rae of the NDP did to Ontario from 1990-1995. Mike Harris saved us. I want to be premier of Ontario because I want to be in a top political job. I can't become PM but I can't speak French. LOL. So Premier seems a good job. If I became Premier, I would not make Ontario offiically bilingual. I have many left-wing and right-wing views. Right wing: Lower taxes, debt payment, free trade, abortion, same sex, more funding for the military, Left wing: Health care and education, more wind turbines, funding for Catholic schools. Anyway, talk to you later, cheers and ciao, Kevin Smith
