Has the Language Police gone too far?

What's a clear majority to you people? I think a clear majority should be 55/45 or 60/40. If Quebec seperates, they won't have a free trade deal with the USA. They will have to negotiate all over again -
I don't think the government should have privitized Petro-Canada. It's a very profitable company. You can buy some of Petro-Canada and lower your taxes because Petro-Canada will hopefully supply the money needed for income tax cuts or health care money. And with these high gas prices, profit is big. I'm saying this knowing that I'm Conservative. What do you guys think?

Of course urban people like to ban guns because mor murders happen in urban areas. In rural areas there is hunting so poeple that don't want to ban guns.

You don't care about Quebec seperatism, do you? How would you feel if you had to learn english in a basicly french area, because the other people across the country speak english. Wouldn't you want to learn the language of your area that you will use daily instead of the language you will never use. -

Bilingualism isn't a waste of money, with out Quebec would feel more isolated to the rest of Canada. I know some people in the West hate it, because there aren't many French people on that way, except in Manitoba. -

Conservative Support Dips Post-Election

There are more seats in Ontario and in Quebec than the whole West combined. Plus if the Conservatives get a popualr leader from Ontario, they could win 45+ seats. -
Most people have short term and long term memory loss. Like when Paul Martin said he would put more money into health care, people didn't remember that he was the finance minister that took all the money out of health care. I remembered it, but I couldn't vote.

Consevatives needs a Ontario or Quebec leader. Ok, a Quebec leader is too unrealistic. If Mike Harris could have ran in the leadership race, it would have been a race between him, Stronach and Harper. There are 106 seats in Ontario and 75 I think in Quebec. But successful Ontario premiers have a history of having a high non-runner status in leadership races. Bill Davis did it in 83, he COULD have won but there was a very uncertain spot of voters to vote against him, The West. He didn't speak french that well. David Peterson could have ran in the liberal leader in 90, but didn't. -

The provinces should manage their health care and social servies because they know what they need and what to do. Ottawa doesn't know the needs of every province. -

I have lived through four prime ministers, Brian Mulroney, Kim Campbell, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin. It's a tie between Jean Chretien and Brian Mulroney. As you regard to premiers, I have lived through five premiers, David Peterson, Bob Rae, Mike Harris, Ernie Eves, and Dalton "The Liar" McGuinty. My favourite premier would be Mike Harris. Who are favourite prime ministers and premiers in your like time?
