Boges, so it's appalling for Chinese to torture dogs before eating them but meh for the calves being tortured because they're going to get eaten anyway. Got it. Thanks.

Most horses I ever rode I never had to kick them. That click click sound you make with your tongue would usually do it. If it was a horse that didnt know you, maybe a gentle tap with your heels as well. Horses trained to neck rein needed neither.
