  1. watch as it disappears over the next hundred years...
  2. well there is that, but each generation becomes more liberal than the one that came before...atheists are growing as a percentage of the population so they must be coming from families who practice religion of some sort...education is the enemy of religious belief...
  3. a lot of them do because they're stupid, bible thumping, xenophobes or all three combined...and others do because selfish they may be socially progressive but don't want anything to threaten their jobs/income...
  4. yikes! that's really scary in this day that someone still does know what democracy is...one man, one vote, without that there is no democracy....the entire concept of democracy revolves around equality of the vote...
  5. the bias is yours, here's your original post....-"The video is massively biased against Israel. It's 6 minutes of "Israel has been terrible to Palestinians". No mention of Palestinian rockets or suicide bombers. There I just saved you 6 minutes, Bud you owe me those 6 of my life back. The video is a piece of garbage. " the video spoke of violence on both sides, it didn't go into details of either sides violent past...you want to go into details of rocket attacks, a palestinian would want details of ariel sharon's murderous rampage of ethnic cleansing.... the bias is yours alone, you want only condemnation of palestinians but ignore zionist atrocities...any acknowment of israeli fault is an impossibility in your bubble world...you hear "israel did this" and instantly it's fingers buried up to the knuckle in your ears time...
  6. say what?...voting is the heart of democracy, without voting you can not have a democracy...equality of vote is essential to a healthy democratic system....
  7. the Australia just purchased 24 the US navy bought 124 more in 2010, so are you claiming the US navy buys obsolete crap?....the customers of the russians and chinese that would most likely encounter rarely buy planes that are top rate, they buy planes to protect themselves against their neighbors not nato...and this orphan line is crap, there are a number of planes that are only flow by one country it just doesn't matter, as long as we fly anything orphan or not, manufacturers will supply parts for it...
  8. stationary bombing ? eew enemy sam batteries are gonna love that tactic...F35 search and rescue that's the most ridiculous idea yet, you may have heard of another invention specifically designed for such uses, it's called a helicopter...I wonder what it would be like to search for someone on the ground at mach2 ... any plane we pick will be obsolete long before the 40 yr lifespan is up, pilot-less drones will be the next generation of defense...plane performance is limited by pilot endurance, eliminate the pilot and you can build a smaller faster more maneuverable plane at less cost... waste of money we'll never use it...
  9. what kind of nonsense is this, now you have us fighting our nato partners who may be flying f35's....the super hornet is superior to any plane flown by third world nations we may confront, the only "potential" adversary with possibly better equipment is the chinese ...and we aren't going to war with any super power regardless what kind of plane we buy...
  10. are you not paying attention? the military wanted a minimum 65 planes to be effective for our needs and that was when the price was claimed to be 9 billion, now rumors are the all-in cost will be between 40-45billion that 65 number is now a fantasy, this golden flying pig is dead...my guess is it's the super hornet...
  11. it's a flawed democracy that's what....China's democracy is successful as well as that a reason to copy it?... we need more/better democracy not less...better representation of PR is more democratic than FPTP...
  12. and merkel's coalition is stable, there is no reason why a coalition should be an more unstable than a what er have now...our cpc is a coalition of two parties...angela Merkel- "We have guided Germany out of the crisis stronger than Germany entered the crisis," she said to a cheering audience. In a nod to her struggling coalition Free Democratic Party partners, she said "in these times no coalition could lead our country better." "This government is the most successful government since reunification," she said.
  13. methinks you'll look under every rock desperate to find the tiniest most meaningless shred of evidence in to prop up your futile defense of fptp...fptp it's a stupid and flawed system, undemocratic and unpopular around the globe
  14. and Germany has had 8...and that, as they say, is that...slam dunk
  15. that doesn't make the government less stable but it would indicate greater integrity of office and internal party politics...
  16. it makes no difference at all if a PR system can produce a majority then it destroys claims of coalition instability even more so...PR systems are stable, and a PR majority is a legitimate majority unlike what FPTP produces
  17. from an earlier thread, verifying that PR is as stable if not more stable than FPTP so how many general elections has this PR instability triggered in Italy since WW2, 17....and how many general elections has our oh so much more stable canadian FPTP system resulted in since WW2 ? ...21 .....oopsie! that can't possibly be right... and three more, none of whom have had as many general elections as canada Germany PR/FPTP-17 Netherlands PR-20 Sweden PR-20
  18. one tim? here's two... netherlands and germany and both with coalition governments and lower unemployment than canada...(and contrary to what you may claim to be the case PR systems don't have multiple PMs )...how popular do you think Merkels bailing out of greece was with the german populace?
  19. a number of eruo PR systems are more stable than ours, having fewer governments and elections than our FPTP, I'd classify that as successful..
  20. really why do we need a carrier version o f the F35 or even a STOL version?
  21. walmart is where people work until they can find a real job...
  22. the opposition deserves praise for highlighting the issue and forcing harper to back away, he didn't do it because he wanted to...
  23. it can't win it's an over priced pig and will only become more expensive over time (defense acquisitions always do)and not something we need, there are planes that meet our requirements for much less money...the fact we cannot buy the required minimum number of planes makes the entire process futile...
  24. wyly

    Darwin

O35 and never heard of him, looked him up on google, still have no idea who he is...james cameron yup...cameron diaz oh ya...kirk cameron nope
  25. ahh that would be publicly admitting the opposition forced them into it...a slow exit makes look like it was their idea...
