The fact that other nations also have large swathes of their population that shouldn't be anywhere near a voting poll doesn't change the fundamental fact that by and large the american electorate is not capable of yielding rational, sober or particularly sagacious decisions. I'm not bragging about the generally shabby state of the electorate in canada (who suffers from a similar party politics disease), I've already told you that the vast bulk of any electorate are less then worthless in democratic societies.
