  1. Discussion cannot work that way.
  2. Gross exaggeration to say the least.
  3. A border is limiting too.
  4. A mutual understanding (inter-subjective) problem cannot be solved by a method geared towards repetition or objectivity.
  5. In Dawkins' book, Flew has looked in the index of names and saw "Einstein" associated with very few pages.
  6. A kid who was taught to follow the several-century-old Sharia can only appear as a terrorist in the eyes of an amnesiac.
  7. Governments with more money to spend will attract the most charismatic gangsters; from there we can imagine them, financing private agencies for some publicity campaigns promoting self-consciousness.
  8. By decriminalizing pot, some think that money could be transferred from gangsters to the politicians like if these two social categories could be kept separated enough.
  9. I understand easily that you seem a bit uneasy with this contingency.
  10. The Christian belief is all action; it is about believing that making leaps of faith seem to be a transcendental invitation by God.
  11. Nothing today looks more like a thousand of messiahs than the Taliban.
  12. It has nothing to do with sacrifice: when the justice system gets overload by just a few white-collar crimes, investors, whom are all essentially risk-takers, find it all too irrational not to do the crime, in regard of the low chances to get caught.
  13. We can feel the phony fundamentalism of the scientists for wanting to enforce a neat separation between knowledge and belief.
  14. It is easy to get the illusion that our justice system only searches for scapegoats because this system get jammed easily when too much similar crimes happen almost at the same time.
  15. Yes. That is why the World needs now more than ever the universal stance of Christianity; Jews are still waiting for the Messiah, which means that they are still waiting after Jesus as the Universal Singular (not as an individual). Muslims have all the rights to suspect this Universal Singular (or man-like God) to be an infidelity, Christians have to explain/preach their faith to them more fully.
  16. Yes. The case can be made that the Tree of life is not the product of an evolution of matter but of a self-humiliation or a dialectics of a Spirit. Hegel has made this case in philosophy by writing his most important philosophical work: The Phenomenology of Spirit (1807). Physics gives today some scientific credence to this idealist view with the Higgs' fields in which something positive comes out of nothing.
  17. If two activities are separate, I don't have to know both.
  18. You seem to understand now that Black has been put in jail not out of a taste for revenge but because some public officials think he can still learn, in jail, to love justice and respect and guard shareholders' interests over the private interests of publicly-traded companies' managers/executives.
  19. Actually, the "construction" of the tree of life began long before science. Mythologies around the world are full of stories of our human ancestors taking the form of different animals. The question still remains to know if it is a spirit who shapes the matter or the opposite.
  20. Omar was caught in a foreign preemptive strike in the name of an illness that is still affecting Army Guy: the Nimby Syndrome. The world has become so small, due to the Western World technologies, that there should be no room anymore for this syndrome.
  21. With his egoist gene, Dawkins shows he is linked to Darwin like Queen Elizabeth the first is linked to Elizabeth II, all these people live inside the Malthusian tradition.
  22. The routing on the tree is determined by genetic markers.
  23. We have to assume that, right now, Omar is a danger to himself and to others.
  24. Omar should go in a psychiatric hospital, near the residence of his family, for observations and treatments.
  25. Public health issues and their financing are already intractable political issues. It is already tempting for good governments to win reelections by (over)prescribing cheap drugs to patients so that the health statistics can look better. Down this (decriminalizing) road, soon the population may become incapable to find abnormal that a government come to promote drugs. This is what is happening right now in North Korea, the state is distributing cheap heroin to its population.
