As for any reference to "favours", do you think that if Canada and the United States had a better relationship, the boarders would be opened now to Canadian beef?

Now caesar, before I let you cross my bridge, answer me this then: If Ford put out a pick-up truck that had problems with the brakes in our cold winters, is Canada forced to allow this truck to be sold within Canada before the problems are fixed up to Canadian government standards?

The difference between our relationship with the United States and that of a colony or abused wife, is that a colony can revolt and a wife can go to a shelter and in both those cases there is a chance for positive change. Canada can't "revolt" and can't go to a shelter. So what are Canada's choices?

Why are we here?

I've got an idea......Myself and others have outlined why it is we want the west out of Canada numerous times. So my question to those opposed to Western Seperation: Why should we stay a part of Canada? What are we (as in the West) getting out of the deal?

How does it cost more? The government doesn't fund the healthcare system with money that they grow on trees....... WRT "Compassion for your fellow man", who's going to show compassion to all Canadians, when our current healthcare system bankrupts us all? ie. who's going to pay for it? With that said, I don't mind having a "safety-net" for the "poor", but the majority of Canadians are not "poor" (yet).

Would anybody have a problem if I asked and got money from the government to have a parade for White, Anglo Saxon, Protestants that were all straight and male and we wore Brown khakis, Sam Brown belts and Red Arm bands? Whats good for the goose is good for the gander right?

Why should the United States be doing Canada any favours?

Yes and No. We have forgein companies that build in Canada. As for why we don't have our own industry.......probably because we couldn't sustain it properly (Same with shipbuilding etc) No market = No industry............besides, if Canada did show signs of being able to support a defence industry, all the ones of your ilk would be crying Military-Industrial Complex.

Add the 700 million for the 15 SAR birds, then the 1.9 billion in life time support to them, then the Liberals purchase of 43 "off the self" helicopters is getting closer to 8 billion dollars............You could also add to that total the costs with maintain an older helicopter in the Sea King until past 2010!@!! Now go back to 93 and Mulroneys deal for 50, top of the line helicopters (which we would had by now), that would have cost us just over 5 billion (abit 93 dollars). So to figure out how much money has been wasted on these new, lesser helicopters we just need to figure out what 5 billion "93 dollars" would be worth today, then subtract from the Liberal bill. Now the other thing that I find, shall we say odd, is that Sikorsky is going to build these Helicopters with the help of "Big B"............

If all the 'Cats needed was an "engine refit" (Which they did), why did no international buyers purchases them when the government put them up for auction? But for $hits and giggles, can you prove this "game playing and a desire to sell them cheaply to make the NDP look foolish" really happened?
