wow look 23 pages of complete and utter bulls__t. Glad to see things haven't changed much in my absence.

Why do you continue perpetrating a lie in your sig?
they are jacks own words, I think you and I have been through this once before though
-
Yup, I do...
Do you know that Harper was not only in favour of but a strong promoter of the Canadian Bank mergers with US banks a few years back?
Where would THAT have left us when the shit hit the fan?
Was a PC Prime Minister who brought in the bank act. The TD has done very well with Bank Mergers in the US, considering the expansion they have gone through in that market. Create more then a few Canadian jobs hasn't it?
-
Are you saying that Harper isn't right wing extremist enough for you?
If so I'm sure your wishes will be fully filled should Harper manage to pull out a majority and show his true Republican Red White and Blue colours...
Bill, honestly, how can you support someone, or a party, that is trying to drag Canada into being nothing more than the 51st state of a country, the USA, that has shown itself to be totally inept at managing an economy and, because of past Liberal policies Canada pretty much escaped the recession, that the Bush administration with it's unfunded wars, corporate bailouts and deregulation caused?
Gwiz do you know who wrote the federal bank act? That document is what has kept us out the problems the us is facing.

Yeah, I hate paved roads, Firemen and ambulance drivers too.
Oh so you support the Conservative tax credit proposal for volunteer firefights that was in the 2011 budget document......

Don't patronize, if you followed the discussion you'd realize that the local riding wasn't allowed to have an election to get rid of him. Rob Anders is the Mubarrak of Calgary West - it isn't difficult to hold your seat when no one is allowed to run against you... that is exactly what the National Office did to Calgary West's Conservative Riding Association.

Calgary West..
http://www.google.ca...JV0GGpwPVH90N6w
AND all the other ridings who tried to hold elections in their ridings but were disallowed by their national controllers
The problem isn't local to Alberta, but you also have people like Helena Geurgis who is being forced out of her seat, or rigged elections in places like Day's riding in BC, where no one who wasn't on the board was allowed to run, because enough notice wasn't given (and they had to submit applications to the national office, not the local riding office)
There are many other examples of National totally ignoring local ridings completely removing any "voting or democratic process" in the ridings. It is all top down in the CPC. NOT grassroots
And the people on top are criminals breaking elections laws, and parliamentary laws.
CPC = CRIMINAL PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVES
William do you even live on this planet? Do you know the conservative party constitution? I thought not, the local EDA cannot call nomination races it must be called by the National Party. The board was taken over by hostile individuals for one year who did not want to follow the party rules....funny that not one of those board members was left after the last AGM, they were all voted out. The last nomination race conducted in the riding was won by Rob. When the members of Calgary West were asked by mail out ballot just like in every other riding after the last election if a nomination race was needed the resounding result was no!
So again do your home work you look like a fool.

Better Check you facts William you are wrong as usual Rob Andres won the last nomination race in that riding he was not parachuted in. He has won every race and nomination race since 1997. William you are a bloody fool.
Don't you ever tire of eating crow. Do you homework!

A muslim left leaning Canidate Neesh won mayor of Calgary, anything is possible.
Naheed Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary
This doesn't make me skeptical Alberta could have so and so, Liberal Member for x, Alberta, as out of the Question. Harper was known as an incredibly neglectful Canidate, and representative for Calgary. While the liberals are forced to appoint members in Alberta the conseravtives arn't letting people run nationally and are staging and parachuting in 'their national campaigns unelected persons', more than one local riding association is upset about not being able to field their own ridings winning canidates.
What if some of those members actually ran to be liberals? YOU might see a dramatic shift if that were to occur.
Who have the Conservatives Parachuted into Alberta William?

Like I said, and will say for the third time now, Parliament can give the Government as long or as short a leash as it chooses. A majority government has a lot longer leash (though, as we've seen from Maggie Thatcher's downfall, even the leader of a majority isn't absolutely safe).
The rules of privilege are the same. Parliament can choose to demand as much or as little of a Government as it pleases. The one thing that is very clear, and I think you're smart enough to know this, is that Government doesn't get to choose. That battle was lost over three hundred years ago.
And a good thing too, don't you think? Would you have preferred to have lived with the stunted Parliament that the Stuart kings would have preferred us?
Uhmm no it is the ruling of the Speaker of the house who strangely enough was Peter back then too. Why the double standard from the same speaker?
-
Parliamentary privilege is not a matter for a court. The constitution has for centuries made that the affair of Parliament alone.
And yet no contempt of parliament when Allen Rock grossly underestimated the cost of the long gun registry.

I looked at that link and I see no signatures on it.

Is lies called credibility in Alberta?
calling someone a liar without proof is the loser of a debate.
-
You got facts report them to the Federal Public Prosecutions Office otherwise shut your trap you LIAR!
Once again you brilliantly defeat yourself in a debate...
Punked has much more credibility then you

ALL political parties stink. There simply is not a party out there that suits me, oh well. I will support the candidate with the most to offer me. That is true for most citizens. If you want the public to become more involved then raise the stakes ad offer more than the other guy. More nowadays means more representation as in free votes. Free votes can and will do far more for citizens than anything else at this point because it will return elected public servants back in line by making them accountable for their actions. The people deserve their representatives, this is a democracy and the citizens can push to get their way.
Total agreement Jerry!

I wasn't aware that I was responding to anyone in particular by stating some FACTS about how elections work and who actually puts up the money for them...
"The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty." - Zig Ziglar
You quoted Wild Bill why bother quoting a post if you are not responding to it.
I doubt you have ever worked an election campaign in your life, or understand how the system works. I find your posts very naive.
-
Nope, it's about stealing my, and your, MONEY for personal gain by a party I DON'T support...
You do understand that you did not respond at all to the points made by wild bill right?
The quality of posts on this forum are going way down hill.

Great post August

You need an undecided option.
-
Oh no, you made the original claim--that Albertans are "by nature conservative" (presumably meaning some province or other must be "by nature liberal" or what have you); since the claim is an extremist one, and beyond the pale of what most people seem to think, the onus is on you to substantiate your claim.
Would Cuba be communist by nature?
-
What's funnier is the Green Party got a vote.....they shouldn't even be an option since they were de-registered and are defunct in the province of Alberta.....goes to show you how many on this board actually understand the political realities in this country.
-
The problems in the liberal party extend beyond the leader.
-
I think it's a blast when they stage exercises around here. Great for plane spotting.
No worse than any airshow re: safety. As well there'd be SOP about directing energy towards actual urban areas (no buzzing skyscrapers for example...no diving willy-nilly towards beach goers, etc.)
Isn't there typically a 10,000 ft floor on these operations?
-
One might question the ceremonial and legal effect of shutting down parliament for 7 years.
Moving parliament and shutting it down are two different things....not sure where this came from....uhhggg.
-
How big an airport do you need to land a leerjet. I bet they could put it down on some small highway in the middle of nowhere. KEEP THEM OUT OF THE CITIES THOSE THINGS ARE DANGEROUS!
So are forks wanna ban those too?

All this yammering about a woman who can't or won't own her actions......pathetic.
