"Gone" by what mechanism? I don't see the Republicans impeaching either Trump or Pence. Buncha people in their bubbles are still living in dreamland, by far the most likely scenario is that Trump serves his 4 years and then runs for re-election in 2020.

In fact 538 got a lot of flak from some other ("more liberal") poll aggregators that were giving Clinton a >99% win chance, saying that the 538 models with "fat tails" were unrealistic. 538 had it closer to the mark than most.

She ran a pretty terrible campaign. I wanted her to win compared to Trump, but gah she is horrible at this politics stuff despite being in it for 30 years. For almost 2 years, they completely let Trump dominate the conversation.

People have overactive imaginations about the "state secrets" contained in people's emails. I mean, get serious, it's probably mostly Weiner's dick pics. Do you think these emails contains the identities of undercover operatives? The real time locations of American assets in active combat areas? The "nuclear launch codes"? Sorry but these things don't get put in emails in the first place.

Elites on both sides of the political aisle love immigration. It allows them to bring in more workers for the same number of jobs, driving down wages. Further, elites don't have to live beside these people or compete for housing or government services with them. Hence, the elites get all the benefits while (primarily) lower-class Canadians bear the burden of immigration.

Not a ridiculous question at all. People like to rail against "the elites" but rarely explain what they mean.

Brexit demonstrates why the elites don't like to hold referendums. Because sometimes those ordinary people refuse to vote the way the elites like. This explains why Trudeau doesn't want one on election reform.
