      Maybe, but I'm thinking she's just ashamed of him and staying away from the spotlight. I haven't heard anything of her since the India debacle. And, if Margaret is still living with them there's another reason to vamoose somewhere, maybe Montreal.

      Ah.. Justin's wife. I get it. I should have realized. Of course you've been writing a soap opera in your head with Trudeau as the central character.

      Of course.

  4. "Li'l buddy" will give you away every time. :lol:

  5. Trudeau called a byelection for BC Nanaimo-Ladysmith for May 6. Is this an indication that he will not call an early general election?

    1. scribblet

      Looks that way...  a good way to get parties to spend their money so they do not  have enough for the election

  7. Justin is reviving political ghosts to look into Lavscam and to make recommendations to the Liberals. He has recruited Anne McLellan, otherwise known as Landslide Annie :lol: for the job.

    "She was re-elected by narrow margins in the new riding of Edmonton West in the 1997 and 2000 elections, despite the Liberals' general unpopularity in Alberta.[5] Her frequent narrow escapes gave her the nickname "Landslide Annie" in Canadian political circles."

  10. Watching Trudeau speak, he gives positive sounding sound bites but shakes his head from side to side implying "no". "Jobs jobs, reconciliation, jobs jobs....."

      Trudeau will be apologizing to the Inuit this afternoon for the tuberculosis outbreak from the 40s to the 60s.. Obviously he cannot offer more than one apology per day.

    3. scribblet

      scribblet

      No contrition, no sorry, bordering on arrogant as he blamed Raybould....     Are you going to apologize?   Yes, I'm apologizing to the Inuit this afternoon  !!

  11. Well, after about 3 minutes into Butts' opening words, I don't have to hear anything else. He disagreed with JWR's characterization of events. Quelle surprise.

    1. scribblet

      scribblet

      Butts: "I am fully aware that two people can experience the same meeting differently." "I do not see how our brief meeting could constitute pressure." .......  he actually said that

      Alternate universe?

      Liberals actually voted against Butts testifying under oath and did not volunteer to do so

    3. betsy

      betsy

      Raybould wasted no time at all!  She lobbed right away.

      When asked if she'll get thrown out of caucus - she said she doesn't think they'll throw her out of caucus.   That was a.........challenge.

      She's daring Trudeau to throw her out of caucus.

      I have such great admiration and respect for this lady.  She is the role model for indigenous youth!

      betsy

      Trudeau underlined his lies when he did not answer the question whether he told Raybould that he is a  member for Quebec (Papineau).  Instead, he repeated his talking point about jobs!

      When all you can do is give talking points - it means, yes!  Raybould is telling the truth!  No doubt about that, AT ALL!

  13. Raj Grewal, Liberal MP who reportedly has a gambling addiction. says he repaid the millions he borrowed to gamble. He has now reversed his decision to quit his seat. What kind of game is this?

      I just heard the quote from Trudeau on 640AM, something about construction workers and their toxic effect on females because they're males. I forget the exact wording, but I do remember it as being one of the most stupid things I've ever heard.

    3. capricorn

      capricorn

      Trudeau said that male construction workers sent to work in rural areas have a negative social impact on that area. He also said that women entrepreneurs make better decisions than others. "Others" meaning men entrepreneurs. Here's a CPAC link to the Buenos Aires forum where he made the comments.

      Grewal dragging his feet in officially resigning his Brampton seat. With millions in gambling debts, he won't easily part with his $170,000 annual MP salary. It's a week since he said he would resign. This is a total disgrace.

  16. It's no wonder Unifor's Dias is so worked up over the closure of the GM Oshawa operation. A loss of upwards of 3 million dollars in union dues annually is staring him in the face.

      Who cares about huge companies and tens of thousands of jobs leaving the country for greener pastures when we have a gender parity cabinet, illegal immigration, peoplekind, terrorist payoffs, marijuana, carbon taxes, no pipelines, costumes & socks - what more could we want.

  17. The State Broadcaster reports that Justin was told by an admirer he is handsome. Justin responded: ""It's the Singaporean blood," he replied with a smile. "It's my high cheekbones, and I tan easily." What a coincidence. Many Indigenous Canadians also have high cheekbones and tan easily. Er, when is that trip to the Arctic scheduled?

      What passing-bells for these who die as cattle?

            — Only the monstrous anger of the guns.

            Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle

      Can patter out their hasty orisons.

      No mockeries now for them; no prayers nor bells;

            Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,—

      The shrill, demented choirs of wailing shells;

            And bugles calling for them from sad shires.

      What candles may be held to speed them all?

            Not in the hands of boys, but in their eyes

      Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.

            The pallor of girls' brows shall be their pall;

      Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,

      And each slow dusk a drawing-down of blinds.

  19. Tony Clement should be turfed from caucus a.s.a.p. The Conservatives don't need the "drip..drip..drip.." on this matter coming from the other parties until the next election.

    And another thing, how does one get treatment for having "poor judgment"?

  23. According to PM Trudeau, it's not a tax on carbon it's a tax on pollution. If you don't agree to this tax then you want pollution to be free.

    Let me think about this new speak.

      It’s nuts to tax people for heating their homes and driving their cars when there is no reasonable fossil fuel alternative available, at least realistically, that most people could afford.  Therefore it is not a carbon tax  to reduce fossil fuel use, it is simply a cash grab posing as an environmental tax.

      Not many media outlets if any, ever mention that  Canada has only 1.6% of global emissions, therefore,  once people learn we would have to wipe out our entire oil and gas sector along with 3/4s  of our transportation sector by 2030 to meet the latest UN/IPCC target, they would  start laughing.

      They were all made at the same time. If the drooling idiot who made them didn't properly understand what he was doing and made some kind of major mistake, then he would have duplicated it in the rest.
