  1. No, what we need is to stop importing Muslims, because with them we import Islam.
  2. Excuse me for assualting your semantic sensibilities with redundancies, but I'm sure you don't mind that much, since it supplies a red herring. As far as the stats I supplied are concerned, here's Mark Steyn: "Already, the Mayor of Brussels, Freddy Thielemans, presides over a ruling Socialist Party caucus, ten of whose seventeen members are Muslim. That's to say, the capital city of the European Union has a Muslim-majority governing party." http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=Y...mNlODg1YTU0Mzc= But it hardly needs to be explained by anyone except a neanderthal, since the mayor made a proclaimation, and the mayor belongs to a party with a majority of Muslims in it. In terms of the birthrate stats I provided, I may actually have understated the numbers: "Today, the Muslim birth rate in Europe is three times higher than the non-Muslim one. If current trends continue, the Muslim population of Europe will nearly double by 2015" http://www.brookings.edu/views/op-ed/fello...nar20030301.htm In terms of the "illegality" of it, here's a bit of an eye opener: "Like Washington, Brussels hosts hundreds of protest demonstrations each year. During the past six years Freddy Thielemans, the mayor of Brussels, allowed 3,500 demonstrations. He banned only six..." http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:bRpfRG...;cd=7&gl=ca But you know what Momo? None of that is really all that relevent to what you saw happen there. What you saw was an egrigious violation of everything the west stands for. And you sit here arguing semantics and birthrates.
  3. My bad. 10 out of 17 of the party from which the mayor comes from are Muslim. Since the mayor is the one in control of Brussels, and the one who denied the permit (on the grounds that Muslims may react with violence, I might add), Muslims effectively swayed the decision. As for it being a "far right" party, it's the largest party in the Flemish region, and it's secessionist, so naturally it's refered to by the MSM as "far right." The Reform Party was also, you'll recall, refered to as "far right" until it became the official opposition in Canada.
  4. That's pretty ballsy coming from a fellow who constantly testes history with nonsensical revisionism when he ought to know better. There's a vas deferens between adding knowledge to general history and just making up genital history, doncha know? You've rectum your credibility.
  5. What difference does a PR make? I could put out a PR today claiming that I own the world and am about to embark on a negotiating initiative with Bush, Putin and Amadandasinejab to discuss the payment of gold bullion for my consent to their retaining nominal power in the satrapies I now allow them to satripize over. In fact, consider this to be that PR, and while I'm at it, consider this notice that I've decided that "Mohawk Chief Allen MacNaughton" *snort* is henceforth to be my personal valet and that the occupiers will be enslaved and become rowers in my pet dog's personal bireme. There, now that that's settled, can we move on?
  6. I don't suppose you make the connection between "regulate" and "legalize?"
  7. I must admit, it's fun watching you make mincemeat out of the flummoxed and logically impaired left. Shame you don't take it up as a constant instead of occasionally leaping on your nag and trotting off to tilt with the windmills of the right...
  8. So Canada is now, in your opinion, so regionalized that only those people directly involved have any right to have a say? People in one part of the province should just butt out when illegal behaviour in another part of the province occurs? What sloppy inane thinking. What happened to critical thinking on the left? Once upon a time the left produced thinkers of note; Marx, Engels, Gramsci, the Frankfurt school; thinkers who may have been utopian and overly theoretical, but who still had a firm grasp of logic. The left produces nothing but flaccid mush these days: meaningless slogans underscored by asinine costumes and stone throwing thugs, all seemingly driven more by emotion than by any cogent thought process.
  9. Oh right. I forgot. In the name of "acceptance," and "tolerance."
  10. So I take it you are against the legalization of homosexual marriage then?
  11. 40% of doctors aren't down by the river blowing lysol, or sleeping in doorways or watching their kids sniff gasoline. Using a "mind-altering drug" is so broad a definition as to include everything from cups of coffee to crack, with a healthy dose of prescription drugs thrown in. Trying to claim that substance abuse is the same across the board is just a howler...
  12. It was you who said this, right? "Get over it. Stop driving to work and save a tree." Yep. I thought so. Smoke another doob...but use a pipe to save the trees!
  13. What has changed is the usual. In between elections people tend to recall the last politician they heard about, or the last one they voted for if they voted at all. It's when the election wanders around that the tent either collapses or doesn't. Dion's tent is neatly folded and put away.
  14. Pure mush. You know it and I know it. Of course it's "comparible." We can "compare" the deaths from the Black Plague in 1383 to the deaths from hangnails in 1997, but if we did, we'd find they are not very comparable. It's just foolish to try to maintain these myths in the face of reality. It might work teaching a 6th grade class not to abide by "stereotypes," but don't try to flog them out here in the real world. You'll just get laughed at.
  15. So driving a car kills trees in your imagination then? You can't actually cite the egregious murder of a tree, you just assume that one somewhere must be dead because I drive a car? I wonder how the number of trees has actually grown in this country in the last few decades what with all the car-tree-slaying going on.
  16. I hope he hangs on till the election is called.
  17. Do tell how not driving to work will save a tree? In fact, you would have me deny a tree food, it seems. Little bit of mushy leftist thinking there I guess, eh?
  18. I remember several hooplas over kids not being removed from Indian homes before they were killed by drunk uncles and whatnot. Apparently that was Whitey's fault too. Indians really have to clean up their own acts and stop blaming Bwana for all the problems. When you're sitting out in the bush drinking lysol while your kids are out back sniffing gasoline because they can't afford crack, that's a problem. Indians have to own it and deal with it. Taking over Bwana's land on some spurious claim of once having owned it so you can finance an alcoholism problem is no way to live life.
  19. What a crock. Burning piles of tires did more to harm the environment than 1000 years of peaceful habitation in that spot. This Indian/environmental stewardship myth is suuuch a joke.
  20. The "context" you cite is clearly not a true context. I have seen dozens of videos of the demonstration, and as you saw in the video I showed you, the only "scuffling" was by the police. You saw it with your own eyes, and I can supply many more vids showing the same thing. The "context" also fails to mention that the 2 Flemish politicians were in the EU Parliament, and as such had every right to be there. The "context" also fails to mention that Brussels has already apologized to Italy, but not the Flemish, for illegally seizing him. This should be taken seriously. Why would you not?
  21. Only in a decadent soft society would this even be a serious question. How far from reality have we drifted anyway?
  22. There are substantial increases in the number of ethnic Europeans moving to Australia, Canada, and the US. They don't call them "refugees" yet, but it's just a matter of time. It's odd watching an entire civilization commit suicide with it's eyes apparently tightly closed.
  23. I assume that's a rhetorical question for kuzzad, so I don't feel bad intruding. The problem the American left doesn't seem to 'get' is that in waltzing around with upside down flags in pink leotards claiming you speak for all Americans is that it creates a twofold effect: First, it emboldens your enemies; and by that I mean your REAL enemies, the ones in Dearborn Michigan, the ones in Pakistani caves, and the ones in Iraq. The ones who are trying to kill you, and the more the better. It gives the impression that you are a divided nation and therefore a weak nation. Remember, these people don't understand the very concept of democracy or free speech, so they interpret what you say within a paradigm they understand. Also remember that they wanted to kill you long before Bush took power. The second effect is that it allows the sloppy thinkers of the left in other countries to buy into the same sloganized arguments, but by virtue of being sloppy thinkers they create a dichotomy in their mind that involves an 'us' and 'them' quite different from the 'us' and 'them' you are thinking of. They simple lump you all into an amorphous concept of "Americans." It's rampant in Europe and hardly unknown here in Canada. Take a moment to watch the entire video I posted in this forum under another thread. That's Europe. That's their idea of "freedom." It's not the same as yours. You'll be shocked at just how lucky you are as an American.
  24. Rue, I'm afraid I don't know what you think I "walked into." All I said is that this is ahistorical poppycock.
  25. I'm shocked. This isn't the first film I've seen of the demonstration. There are a couple of more graphic films showing baton weilding thugs wading into the crowd to get these guys. The "guys" are elected parliamentary officials; one from Italy and two from Belgium. Not to mention the people rounded up afterwards just for being there. Juxtapose this against the "moderate Muslims" demonstrating and holding up signs calling for the death of "infidels" and issuing threats against Europeans (the Swedish artist is now in hiding at the advice of the police). On top of that, Belgium is attempting to make "Islamophobia" illegal. It's crazy.
