  1. 1. It’s well known that the vaccines wane. What do these mandates do to encourage people to get a booster? 2. Not true at all. Stop lying about it.
  2. That’s just it. And the protest is growing to other cities and areas. The next week will be the most interesting as it appears like it’s coming down to crunch time, for both sides.
  3. The climate group appears to only happen over a day or so and didn’t blockade anything. Again, I agree with the reason why the truckers are protesting and I agree it’s their right to protest but don’t agree with blockades. Perhaps the media views it that way too? Or perhaps they are just idiots. Both explanations are plausible
  4. ? definite typo. I meant “in Canada??” but maybe I should take your congrats and roll with it.
  5. Definitely larger in numbers but how long did they last. From what I could tell they were a one day rally. Is that incorrect? Not to split hairs but a climate rally has had years of planning available and really no expectation from them to leave that day. This truckers protest arised in weeks and under never seen before circumstances. I would fully expect some disorganization
  6. Not sure. The photos I’ve seen show a hell of a lot more people but maybe they aren’t part of the convoy. How many would you say are in other sizable protests? I’m guessing this one is the largest but don’t know for sure
  7. I guess that happens with a protest of this size. Has there ever been a larger protest in Canada?
  8. I haven’t been able to find anything on this either. As for the previous cite you gave: 1. In both cases they at least provide an option if you are not vaccinated. Right now in Canada the only way to fly or cross the border as a trucker is to have two jabs. 2. In the Denmark example, they consider past infection to be the same as vaccinated. in both cases you can see just how far behind Canada is
  9. In that very quote you also stated: “They are provincial jurisdictions not Federal.” Then I followed up saying there were federal mandates involved too. That’s when you replied: “When and how to remove restrictions are ALL provincial” The main restrictions the truckers are disputing is the federal mandates however they have used their platform to address the provincial ones too. Dismissing this issue as a provincial matter only is dishonest and/or ignorant
  10. Alright genius…who put in the truckers mandate? Who put in the mandate restricting flights and trains? Who put in the mandate for vaccination of federal workers? Which province was in charge of that??? I’ll wait….
  11. I’ll look at these later. About to hit the slopes Quickly though…these don’t look like truckers mandates. Any countries have these?
  12. Ummm….you know there are some federal ones..right?
  13. Not the case anymore. If you can quickly install mandates then the removal should be just as quick
  14. Do you have a cite for this? I can’t seem to find anything quickly. Maybe you already read up on this. Sure but this trucker convoy started as a protest against the truckers mandate. Then evolved into other reasons as protests always do. You ask for the moon and settle for much smaller.
  15. Exactly. That’s why I put the blame on Trudeau. When other Countries we’re removing restrictions altogether, he was ramping them up.
  16. He’s definitely playing a political angle here. Where it may bite him is if the US drops their mandates and puts the push in Canada to do the same. It will look like the truckers win and Trudeau is a pawn. We all know Covid is going endemic. Even Fauci made a similar declaration recently. These mandates will be gone soon one way or another so it would be better for Trudeau to be in front of it rather than being pushed by it
  17. Umm…he could remove the mandates? What does him winning an election have to do with poor decisions he’s made since?
  18. Removal of mandates is their primary goal. If it results in Trudeau being removed from power would just be icing on the cake. I guarantee you that if they removed the mandates and left Trudeau in power, these truckers would all gladly go home
  19. To end this, Biden will need to reciprocate the removal of mandates. Not sure he’s there just yet
  20. I was just saying to my wife that the only way Trudeau ends this is if Biden tells him to. I was just watching a US news channel in Detroit and they were commenting on how the Ambassador Bridge blockade is starting to cause issues in the US. That’s the start of the end as far as I’m concerned
  21. Please try to keep up with the conversation. I’ll hold your hand this time but you’re on your own next. Pipeline blockades from protesters is what I’m against, not pipeline cancellations. I am against any blockade. You have the right to protest but you don’t have the right to blockade.
  22. I’m talking about protesters blockading not pipeline cancellations
  23. Which pipeline blockade do you consider legal?
