  1. white doors, can you read??

are you capable, since I read and quoted from the article I posted, I would hope you would do the same, so read a little further, ok.

read down to the last paragraph.

Here wait, I'll help you since you do indeed seem desperate for it.

Here is the last paragraph, AGAIN.

and again from the story I posted

I hope that helps you, if not there is always fun with phonics or something like that

    hahaha

You said that Israel was going to steal the gas nimrod.

Not only have they given the gas to the palestinians for free, they are going to buy it from them.

What else do you want? my goodness.

Just read more slowly kuzadd so you are able to take in all the facts.

  2. You make some good points about Gaza, but consider this. Israel is trying to avoid killing civilians. In response, Hamas stockpiles their weapons and shoots their rockets in areas of high civilian populations, like schools and mosques. If you are going to take out the rocket launchers, some civilians will be hit, Hamas has guaranteed this. Hamas also makes no such attempt to spare civilian Israelis with their attacks.

In this context, there will never be peace. Israel gave more land in the hopes of peace, and Hamas uses this new land to launch attacks from. The rest of the world may not get this, but Israel does.

That is why civilian casualties in Gaza are excused in by some around here. We understand their deaths are mostly because of Hamas and then used by Hamas to manipulate people like you.

And the Geneva conventions agrees with us. Civilian deaths fall squarly on the shoulders of the defenders using them as human shields.

  3. what was so interesting when it came to this deal, and the likely reason the democratically elected government didn't sign it, may have had to do with the fact Israel didn't want to pay any money to the Palestinians for the gas. Imagine that?

In "amazing turnaround," Olmert OKs spending of billions for Gaza gas

paid in goods and services, 4 billion dollars worth of natural gas, yeah right.

and what fool would accept that deal?

    maybe the puppet fatah?

but that will do nothing for the Palestinian people

Nah, you are right, 4 billion wouldn't do anything...

The deal would enable BG Group, former owner of British Gas, to begin developing the Palestine Authority's only natural resource. There would be enough gas to provide 10 per cent of Israel's annual energy requirement, and the Palestinians would receive total royalties of $1 billion, 25% of the overall expenditure.

    That's from your own link.

wrong again. Don't you get tired of lying?

  4. ROTFLMAO

You keep saying that anything over 120 is moot. On what grounds?

(And while we are at it, while high IQ is a poor indicator of success, low IQ does tends to indicate limits fairly accurately.)

Curious why you find my points so funny though? Anyways, 125 IQ is certainly not low.

Low IQ of 80 and below can certainly be detrimental to one's future, you will not get an argument from me on that one.

As to anything over 120 the difference is largely moot according to research that I can't seem to find right now, but there are a couple of papers out on that very subject. Also, they used to break down IQ in the upper echelons into different categories but now tend to say that anything over 128 IQ is 'vastly superior'.

I am assuming you took an IQ test and scored higher than this?

"People that brag about their IQ are losers" - Stephen Hawking

Also, is rolling on the floor and laughing your ass off a smart thing to do?

  5. LOL Obviously it's a poor measure if a paltry 125 can get you the prime ministership!

    What's your point?

I have to ask who's sponsoring those ads and why. If it's the Conservatives attempting to impress folks with his brilliance, it ain't working.

You haven't seen the one's with Sarah Palin, John McCain, Barack Obama and Joe Biden?

I am assuming that the company is guessing. I doubt very much it is some sort of conspiracy to scare up votes..

Anyways, my point was clear. You thought Harper's alleged IQ was low for someone leading the country.

    My counter was three-fold:

    1) His alleged IQ would be in the top 6-7% of the country.

    2) regardless, IQ is a bad measure of success and finally,

    3) anything over the 120 mark, the difference is largely moot.

Harper would have been able to understand my points.

    ;)

  6. Top 6 or 7% is exactly what makes it seem so low. That would make him the second smartest kid in a median classroom.

Since we can fairly safely assume that very dim people don't generally talk politics for entertainment, that would make him maybe... average.... possible even below average among the folks who regularly blather here.

I would have expected at least mid 130s just to have climbed the political ladder to higher echelons.

Well first of all, IQ measurement is a notoriously bad measure for success. There are lots of people with high IQ's on welfare for example. You must also have drive and passion.

Secondly, there are lots of dumb people who comment on politics. You can see many on this forum.

They aren't able to read past the headlines mind you, but their mind is made up and that's good enough for them.

  7. Nearly all first time buyers have CMHC insured mortgages, which now means anything between 80% and 95%. It was ever so, nobody can save that much to get started in good times or bad. If you aren't CMHC insured, that means you have at elast 20% equity in your home. There are no other alternatives. Either way, the banks and CMHC are sheltered and relatively safe.

And it varies from marklet to market, if you bought a house here before May 2007 with or without a deposit, you have equity. If you bought since then, maybe not, but if you are on CMHC your mortgage won't come up for renewal for 3 1/2 to 5 years from today. If youb are not on CMHC, you had equity from the very start.

You'd have us running around like chickens with their heads cut off..........

The rest of your post is meaningless in the context of this thread.

They are the jealous rantings of an insecure renter.

  8. uhh... Egypt is 'blockading' Gaza too..

    Anyways:

That's because the occupation didn't stop. As I said earlier, don't think for a second that as soon as Gazans were left without Israelis in their territory they didn't immediately think of their brothers in the West Bank, who are still under occupation. You can't do this thing half-assed: you have to end the occupation completely, not just a fraction of it. Small gestures like this and dismantling the occasional small settlement aren't going to convince anyone Israel is serious about getting back to the roadmap. JUST LIKE Israelis weren't convinced when Hamas suspended suicide bombings but continued with rocket attacks. Not exactly a show of good-faith there.

wow, then perhaps you can explain why there aren't rockets launched from the westbank then? I mean that is the part that is 'occupied' right? Truth is, you will find another excuse for the terrorism as soon as Israel jumps through your next hoop. You don't care, you are just at pains to look like an 'honest broker' presumably akin to white guilt, except for you apparently, it is Jewish guilt.. strange, but not unheard of. There are other people who are intellectually dishonest like you as well, like Noam Chomsky. Personally, I'll take the Alan Dershowitz view on this.

Thinking of their brothers in the west bank.. lol, are you for real? Hamas and Fatah had a civil war - brutally slaughtering each other not one year ago.... and you think Hamas who controls the gaza strip, gives two figs about Fatah which controls the West bank?

Are you being serious? Or do you not give a hoot to your credibility?

  9. No, it's not the only reason. There are many events that led to the discovery of North America by the Europeans. Christianity did play a role, though.

The question that Jared Diamond asks is why did Europeans have a banking system and the tribes of North America not have one. That is what he is asking. He makes no attempt to say that because of the banking system or Christianity they disconvered North America. Did you just skim through the book?

  10. Please spare me the "the great Israeli altruists pulled out of Gaza because they love peace" routine. Stop moving the goalposts - Israel withdrew from Gaza because it was incapable of occupying the area anymore, and they were loosing lots of money trying to do so.

I suppose I'm supposed to pretend that the blockade on Gaza which has completely crippled the economy, and meant that most people there now require foreign food aid to survive, accounts for nothing?

To which of course, the genius' at Hamas responded with:

It is irrelevant as to why Israel pulled out of Gaza, just that they did.

Since the hue and cry and defence of terrorism from western leftists was the 'occupation' one would think that if that was valid, the terrorism would have stopped once the occupation did - of course, it did not.

    If anything, it got worse.

It is apparent that in your mind it is because of the 'blockade' now - talk about moving goalposts..

If that is true, perhaps you could explain to us why Hamas is not launching rockets into Egypt too?

    Thanks

  11. I love how Bush has had over 30 cabinet positions and you guys can name 3 minorities, and claim victory. Any gays? Any Muslims? Nope would not want them to taint the rest of the cabinet right? Bush has had at anyone time at most 1 Latino Cabinet minsters, Obama has two right now. CHANGE!!!!

    Irrelevant..

    You stated:

Becuase he is a minority and appointing a prominent Hispanic to a Cabinet post would be a nice change from Bush

Clearly insinuating that Bush was racist and or his administration was too whitebread.

What you did do was demonstrate your ingnorance on the matter to everyone who will ever read this thread.

You were and are wrong and are apparently too stubborn to fess up.

  12. I would expect the party that campaigns on less government to (as always) create a program for women of child-bearing years to report a monthly menstruation report. If they have missed a month the report would have to explain what happened and where's the baby. Any unexplained report would be just cause for imprisonment.

oohh... it's too hard, we can't do it/... despite every other western, industrialized country doing this very thing.

Look, if you disagree with it, state why. But to come back to this 'it's too hard' bullshit, well it just shows the weakness of your position. At the very least, it shows that you haven't put any thought into it.

  13. The question at hand is how long the woman has to exercise her decision on whether to carry the child to term or not. At one extreme, Mr. Canada believes that a woman's consent to engage in sex is an irrevokable commitment to carry a pregnancy to term and the government should enforce that decision. At the other extreme, a woman can exercise that decision up to the moment of birth. There is no current abortion law so the woman can abort right up until birth legally.

In my view either position is extreme and not consistent with respecting individual rights. A woman should have a period of time to determine if she is willing to host the pregnancy, after that period elapses, the decision on whether to abort or not should be irrevokable and subject to criminal penalties if attempted.

IMV, both. Not only the doctor but the woman who willingly participates should face criminal penalties.

    Agreed 100%.

At a certain point there are two individuals involved here. That is the reality.

Would be nice if the laws reflected that.

  14. Becuase he is a minority and appointing a prominent Hispanic to a Cabinet post would be a nice change from Bush just like Obama promised. We will see if Richardson is innocent I hope if he is you are the first to rush to this board and proclaim it. Just as you one of the first to proclaim his guilt. Something tells you weren't.

PS. My problem with Coleman is not his house building it is that he is a shitty Senator and he is a opportunist.

You mean, change from Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell... One of the Attourney Generals was hispanic too right?

    anyways, your post is crap.
