Newcastle is a surprise. Weren't they almost relegated last year?

Yeah, they were bought by some Saudi investment fund a couple of years ago. For a while it didn't look like it was working, but then the transfers they made kicked in, and along with a decent manager they have, if anything, over performed this season. I never expected them to challenge for a European place.
